Jo Meza Memorial Scholarship - Roseville Youth Soccer Club

Each year the Roseville Youth Soccer Club (RYSC) awards scholarships to graduating high school students who have participated in our club for at least three seasons prior to graduation. This participation can be as a player at the recreation or select level, as a licensed referee or as a coach. During previous years the club has awarded a $500.00 scholarship to a student from each of the following high schools; Woodcreek, Roseville and Oakmont.
This year, in addition to these aforementioned scholarships, the RYSC has decided to grant an At Large scholarship. The scholarship will go to a 2012 graduate who also meets the same requirements and will graduate from a high school other than Woodcreek, Roseville or Oakmont.
The scholarship requirements are:
- Minimum of three years participation in RYSC
- Have a 3.0 GPA or better
- *Submit a completed application and essay
Please complete the attached scholarship application and obtained the required parental and high school counselor signatures. In addition to the scholarship application, the applicant must include an essay explaining “How has participating in soccer impacted my life?” The essay must be no longer then two typed written page using 12 point font in either Arial or Times New Roman.
*The completed application must be signed by a school official that verifies the applicant’s grade point average (GPA)
Receiving the Award
Scholarship winners must submit proof of either full-time enrollment (12 units) or enlistment in a branch of the U.S. Military submitted to:
