Yucaipa Calimesa Girls Softball
Code of Conduct
I pledge to provide positive support, care and encouragement for my child participating in the Yucaipa Calimesa Girls Softball League by following their Code of Conduct for Parents, Coaches, and Players.
As a supportive parent/guardian:
- I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, managers, and other officials at every game.
- I will place the emotional and physical well being of all children ahead of my personal desire to win. I will support coaches, managers and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
- I will help my child enjoy her softball experience by being a respectful fan and supportive parent. (Please keep comments to yourself. You never know who is sitting next to you!)
- I will treat other players, coaches, managers, fans, and umpires with respect regardless of race, sex or ability and remember that the game is for the youth, not adults. I will also remember the girls are children and not professional athletes.
- I will refrain from coaching any child or other players during games and practices, unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.
No Player, Coach or Spectator Shall:
- At any time lay a hand upon, push, shove, strike, or threaten any individual at any time.
- Refuse to abide by an umpire decision.
- Be guilty of objectionable demonstrations of dissent at any umpire’s decision by throwing gloves, bats, balls, or any other forceful action.
- Be guilty of using unnecessary rough tactics against the body and person of an opposing player while in play of the game.
- Be guilty of physical attack as aggressor, upon a player, coach or umpire.
- Be guilty of abusive, verbal attack upon a player, coach, or umpire.
- Be guilty of discussing publicly with spectators in a derogatory manner, any play, decision, or their own personal opinion of other players, coaches, or umpires during the game.
**Note: Penalty will be a warning or ejection from the game, park, or program**
Consequences:
1st offense: This Code of Conduct form serves as your warning. Therefore, as a league, we reserve the right to take any action we feel necessary which could include suspension from further games.
2nd offense: Banishment for the Parent/Guardian from all further games. (Length is to be determined by Yucaipa Calimesa Girls Softball)
**Remember: The umpires and any Yucaipa Calimesa Girls Softball league representative has the right/responsibility to ask any parent, coach, or manager to leave if they act in an unsportsmanlike manner or violate any of the Code of Conduct rules**
Player/Parent ejections will not result in refunds of any kind. NO REFUNDS will be given from Yucaipa Calimesa Girls Softball as a result of ejection/suspension.
