Youth Track - Spring 2025

The Paola Recreation Commission, along with the PHS Track team and coaches, is excited to offer a youth track program for kids ages 4 to 6th grade. The program is designed to introduce the sport or track and field in a fun and safe environment.  Participants will get the opportunity to learn and develop track specific skills from the PHS track team and coaches.  The program will consist of two (2) practices, Wednesday April 16th and 23rd from 5:30-6:30pm and a home track meet on Sunday, April 27th starting at 1pm.  Both the practices and track meet will be hosted at Panther Stadium.

The PHS Track team and coaches will help teach the basics of the events offered in each age group, along with running the track meet.  Participants will get the opportunity to compete in three events of their choosing, and ribbons will be awarded to the top three participants in each event.

Participants will receive a t-shirt if they register by April 6th.  Any registrations after April 6th are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

Practice: Wednesday, April 16th & 23rd from 5:30pm-6:30pm @ Panther Stadium

Track Meet: Sunday,  April 27th at 1pm @ Panther Stadium.  Check-in will begin at 12pm.

2025 Mini-Panther T-Ball (3-4 Years Old) - Summer 2025

The Mini-Panther T-Ball program is a 4-week instructional T-ball program for boys and girls ages 3 to 4 (age cutoff May 1, 2025) that introduces the fundamentals of baseball/softball in a fun and positive environment.  Emphasis will be on instruction, participation and having fun! Score/Standings will not be kept. It will be a 4-week program with teams practicing two times per week the first two weeks, and then playing a 4-game schedule the final two weeks.  All games/practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Wallace Park ballfields.  Teams will be coached by parent volunteers.

Each participant is required to have their own glove, pants/shorts, shoes, etc.  The PRC will provide each participant with a jersey along with some practice equipment.

2025 Coed Little Sluggers (5-6 Years Old) - Summer 2025

The Paola Recreation Commission is excited to offer a modified T-Ball program for boys and girls ages 5-6 (age cutoff is May 1, 2025) that will introduce concepts of Coach Pitch while focusing on teaching fundamental skills of the sport, teamwork, fair play and sportsmanship.  In this program, participants will be thrown three (3) pitches to put the ball in play.  If no contact is made after three (3) pitches, a batting T is brought out to hit from. 

Teams will be coached by parent volunteers with coaches selecting their practice days and times.  Teams will be allowed to practice up to two times per week before the first scheduled game.  Once games begin, teams will practice one time per week and play one game a week for the remainder of the season.  Teams will play a 6-game season.  All games will be played on Tuesday & Thursday evenings at the Wallace Park ballfields or USD 368 Baseball/Softball Complex.

Each participant is required to have their own glove, batting helmet, bat(s), baseball pants, socks and shoes.  The PRC will provide each participant with a uniform shirt and hat.  The PRC will provide teams with practice equipment.

2025 Boys Baseball - Summer 2025

The Paola Recreation Commission is excited to offer youth baseball for boys in 1st through 9th grade (ages 7 to 15)! Our leagues provide a fun, positive, and developmental environment where players learn and enjoy the game. Teams are formed based on the participant's 2024-2025 school year grade.

We focus on fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Parent volunteers coach the teams, selecting their own practice days and times. Teams may practice twice per week before games begin. Once the season starts, practice time will be limited due to field availability.

For 3rd-4th Grade (10U), 5th-6th Grade (12U), and 7th-9th Grade (15U) divisions, some travel is required.

Join us for a season of fun, fitness, and friendly competition with the Paola Recreation Commission's Adult Coed Softball League. This league is designed for adults of all skill levels to come together, enjoy the game of softball, and foster community spirit. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, our coed league offers an exciting and inclusive environment for everyone.

League Details:

• Season Duration: 6 Games
• Game Days and Times: Sunday Evenings 4pm-7pm
• Location: USD368 Baseball & Softball Complex
• Team Composition: 12 players on a roster
• Game Format: 55 min./7 innings

Each team participating in the Adult Softball League must have a minimum of three (3) men and three (3) women in the lineup for every game.

Participant Requirements:

• Age: Participants must be 16 years or older.
• Skill Level: All skill levels are welcome.
• Team Uniforms: Matching team shirts are encouraged but required.
