CO-ED SOFTBALL RULES

1. THIS IS A FUN RECREATIONAL LEAGUE!!!
2. Alternate batting rotation - gal, guy, gal, guy, ect.
3. Games will start on time – PLEASE ARRIVE PROMPTLY!
4. NO STEEL SPIKES ALLOWED!!! – If seen wearing them you will need to find an alternative pair of shoes to wear, not sandals.
5. No leading off!!!
6. Subs cannot be on another roster, unless okay with opposing team.
7. This is an ADULT recreational league.  Everyone must be 18 and out of high school.
8. If you walk a guy with 4 straight balls, the gal has a choice to hit or walk.  She must make that decision before a ball is pitched to her.  If the guy is pitched one strike and four balls, he may walk but the girl must bat.
9. Foul ball on 3^rd strike is an automatic out.

10.  You must slide into the base or plate if there is going to be a close play. If you decide not to slide you must run to the base under control, not making contact with the fielder.  If contact is made because of out of control running, the runner will be called out.  This is for the safety of all players.

11.  The ball must be pitched at least 6’ high and no higher than 12’. No pump fakes.

12.  There will be a line 50 feet from the bases.  When a girl is up to bat at least 4 fielders must be behind this line.  You may run up past the line after the ball has been hit.

13.  You do not have to alternate players on the field, male and female may play any position.  You are allowed 10 defensive players and they must be equal numbers of men and women.

14.  55 minute time limit (no new inning after 55 minutes)

15.  7 Innings (5 innings constitutes a legal game)
