Mission
The Mt. Sterling/Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Commission is dedicated to providing high quality recreational programs, leisure activities and facilities that encourage individual growth and promote a sense of community belonging and pride. Our staff is committed to cultivating and protecting Montgomery County’s natural resources and to working as partners with public, private organizations and individuals in the community to preserve the city and county as a safe, caring and healthy community, while providing opportunities for all.
The Mt. Sterling/Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Commission is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Commission has a seven member Board of Directors, and employs an Executive Director, Program Director, Executive Assistant, Maintenance Supervisor and staff plus seasonal employees for the pool, concessions and game officials. The Commission is responsible for three parks which include a pool, tennis courts and basketball courts at two locations, soccer fields, baseball and softball fields, walking trails, playgrounds, volleyball court, disc golf course, horseshoe courts, and a fishing pond.
