City Sports Recreational Youth Baseball League is a community-focused program designed to introduce kids to baseball in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment. Open to children of all skill levels, this league emphasizes basic baseball skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while encouraging a love for the game. With age-based divisions, players learn progressively through age-appropriate drills, practices, and friendly competition. Led by volunteer background checked coaches who are enthusiastic to teach the game, the league aims to foster physical fitness, self-confidence, and lasting friendships among young athletes in our community.

Important Dates

Age Breakdown

Age Divisions are broken down by age as of September 1, 2024. 

T-Ball (Age 4):  Our T-Ball program is a fun, introductory experience designed for young children to learn the basics of baseball in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Modified Coach Pitch (Ages 5): Our Modified Coach Pitch program is perfect for young players transitioning from T-ball to hitting a pitched ball. This program introduces children to the basics of hitting from a coach’s pitch, while still allowing the tee to be used if needed, to build confidence and ensure success.

7U Coach Pitch (Ages 6-7): Our Coach Pitch program is designed to further develop young players’ baseball skills while introducing a faster-paced, more structured game environment. In this program, coaches pitch to players, helping them work on timing, hand-eye coordination, and confidence at the plate.

9U Tight Base (Ages 8-9): Our Tight Base program introduces players to a more advanced level of baseball, emphasizing competitive skills and strategic play. In this format, bases are positioned closely, which encourages quicker gameplay and fosters players' defensive and offensive skills. Players will learn to pitch, catch, and hit with more precision, and they’ll also be introduced to more detailed rules, including base stealing and field positioning.

11U Open Base (Ages 10-11): Our Open Base program is designed to introduce players to a full baseball experience, where all standard baseball rules come into play, including leading off, pick-offs, and base stealing. With open bases, players will get the chance to develop a deeper understanding of game strategy, timing, and advanced fielding techniques. 

13U Open Base (Ages 12-13): Our Open Base program is designed to introduce players to a full baseball experience, where all standard baseball rules come into play, including leading off, pick-offs, and base stealing. With open bases, players will get the chance to develop a deeper understanding of game strategy, timing, and advanced fielding techniques.

Each division is designed to be age-appropriate, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all! 

Cost and Registration

The league offers an affordable rate with registration set at $60 for residents and $70 for non-residents. Each player in divisions 5U and up will receive a uniform, including a jersey, hats/visors and belts to help them feel like part of the team and build excitement for game days!
