YOUTH CARDINAL TACKLE FOOTBALL

Youth tackle football teams compete in a league with surrounding communities.  Participants are strongly encouraged to attend Training Camp before the season.  Teams will be created after Training Camp with the goal of balancing teams as much as possible.  Practices will be held every Mon/Tues/Thurs from 6:00 – 7:30p starting Aug 19th until games start, then will be Mon/Tues only.  Practices & home games will be played at the Civic Center turf fields.  Travel will be required for some games.  If you are interested in coaching, please contact Devin at the Civic Center.

Youth Football Night: All teams will be recognized at a Willmar High Varsity Football game at Hodapp Field and will play on the field during halftime. (Sept 13,)

Willmar Jamboree: Saturday, Sept 21, 2024 at Civic Center Turf Fields (8:00a)

Super Saturday: Teams will play full field length games at Hodapp Field (Saturday, Oct 5, 2024)

Atwater Jamboree: Saturday, Oct 12, 2024 at ACGC High School

Equipment Check-out: Mon Aug 5 & Tues Aug 6 at the Civic Center (5:00p - 7:00p)

DATES/TIMES

Practices are held on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday from 6:00p-7:30p until the games begin, then will be Monday/Tuesdays only.  First practice on Mon Aug 19, 2024

Games will usually be played on Thursday nights.  Start times and locations will vary, with some travel required.  Home games are played at the Willmar Civic Center Turf Fields (2707 Arena Dr, Willmar, MN, 56201)

Join the Willmar Varsity Football coaches and players for a week of drills, games, and fun competition.  This camp is for Willmar players only entering 1st-8th grades.  Participants will be evaluated to balance youth teams for the 2024 football season.  5th-8th graders will wear helmets only Mon/Tues, full pads Wed/Thurs.  Equipment checkout will be Aug 5 & 6 from 5-7pm at the Willmar Civic Center.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TRAINING CAMP

Campers will participate in 9 practice dates.  Practices will be specific to the high school drills and schemes run during the football season.  High School coaches will be running the practices.  The big highlight for this year will be an overnight trip to the Fargo/Moorhead area to scrimmage against some of their local teams.  All 9th-12th graders are invited to come.  Cost will be the registration fee for the camp.
