General League Information

 

League Format: Fall Season


U10-U14 teams are guaranteed to be scheduled 8 regular season games plus 1 tournament game. 


U8 teams will be scheduled 8 regular season games without a tournament. 


Games for the fall season will be primarily scheduled to be played on Sundays at Diamond Community Park and Al Leno Park (U14 only)


Games will start around 11am-12p but can start as early as 10am


Makeup games can be played throughout the week or on Saturday based on multiple considerations such as team schedules, field availability, referees, etc.


Teams are responsible for their own practice space though fields can be rented at Diamond if space is needed. 


All rosters will be online via our Team Sideline system. The league will be responsible for printing and distributing player cards to all teams. These cards will give players and coaches access to each game.  


The league will provide all game reports for every game.

Referee fees (All referees will be required to have an active USSF, OHSAA, or other approved referee registration): The parks will provide an assignor to take care of all scheduling. Each team is responsible for paying the fees below per game including the tournament and rescheduled games.

Important League Dates

The below timeline are important league deadlines to know and follow. In addition, the dates of play for all games and the tournament are listed. 

 


Declaration Deadline: Wednesday, 6/26


 

Registration Deadline: Sunday, 7/14


 

Preliminary Schedule Release: Friday, 7/19


 

Final Schedule Release: Friday, 7/26


 

Late Schedule Request Deadline: Wednesday, 7/31


 

Roster Submission Deadline: Friday, 8/2 @ 11:59pm



 

Dates of Play: 8/11, 8/18, 8/25, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6


 

Fall Tournament Dates: 10/12-10/13



General League Rules

 

Roster Rules: Players are only permitted to be rostered on one team per age group


Example: A player cannot be rostered on 2 U14 Girls teams, but they would be permitted to be rostered on 1 U12 girls and 1 U14 girls rosters assuming they are eligible for both age groups.



In the case of leagues with multiple divisions, players can only play on ONE roster per division (divisions are defined as 1, 2, or 3) and are limited to only two teams of the same age group (age group is defined as U10, U12, or U14) and only one team for the tournament (primary team declared when rosters are finalized week 1, the primary team will be the player’s playoff team)  



In a case where a player is on two rosters in one league (not the same division), the player will be issued a player card for both teams but only their primary team pass will be eligible for the tournament. 


After the regular season concludes, all secondary player’s will be deleted from their secondary team’s roster before the tournament begins. This declaration CANNOT change after rosters are finalized week 1.  



Example scenario: Player A is rostered on team 1 in U14 division 1. Player A is also rostered on team 2 in U14 division 2. This is allowed under the roster rules. However, team 1 and 2 coaches will need to determine week 1 which team Player A will play on for the post season tournament and finalize that on their roster. If team 1 is determined to be the primary team, then Player A would only be able to play for that team and will be deleted from team’s 2 roster at the end of the regular season and before the start of the tournament.


 

Age Eligibility: All ages will be based on July 31st of the current year (school age based calendar)

Players can be verified by school grade for the current school year. The league will require proof of school grade during registration for those cases. The school ages are as follows: 


U8: 2nd grade

U10: 4th grade

U12: 6th grade

U14: 8th grade


 

Roster Min/Max


U8: 6 min, 13 max

U10: 6 min, 15 max

U12: 8 min, 19 max

U14: 11 min, 23 max 


 

Player Jerseys: All players will be required to wear the same jersey with different numbers on the back of the shirt. This will need to match the number given to them on the roster for each game. U8 teams are not required to have numbered jerseys. 


Teams are advised to have at least two jerseys in the case of a color conflict. 


 

Length of Games


U8- 4x12 minute quarters (size 3 ball)


U10- 2x25 minute halves (size 4 ball)


U12- 2x30 minute halves (size 4 ball)


U14- 2x35 minute halves (size 5 ball)
