Adult Volleyball League (Jan. 4-Feb. 22) - Winter 2026

Sundays--January 4th-February 22nd

January 18th and February 8th we will not have league.    

Coed A (Advanced), Coed B (Intermediate), Coed C (Recreational) Divisions--Guaranteed 2 matches per night.

Free Agent option available for those that do not have a team. ($50 per person.)

Matches will start as early as 6:00pm and finish around 9:00pm. Schedules will be posted a few days prior to the start of the season. 

Cost: $50 per person. (Team rep must complete the roster for each person and include an email for each player so that they can receive registration information.) Players will receive a $10 late fee if they don't register before December 21st which is 2-weeks before the start date.

Firm Foundations 2 is for 4th-8th graders who are looking to continue to build their fundamental skills of passing, setting, attacking, serving, blocking, and defense, while also learning strategies of the game. All skill levels are welcome. 

Athletes from the local universities will be present to help players learn and improve their game. 

This is an essential camp for those wanting to see growth of their volleyball skills. 

AYSA PAYMENT POLICY:

All payments must be completed before the first day of camp. For those who have not paid by the first day of camp, a $10 late fee will be added. (This includes any walk-up registrations on the first day of camp.)

The Soccer Firm Foundations Clinic is designed to help young players build strong technical skills and a solid understanding of the game. Led by experienced coaches and athletes from local schools and universities, this fast-paced clinic focuses on developing essential fundamentals and applying them in game-like situations.

Players will train twice a week in a supportive, structured environment that encourages confidence, growth, and love for the game. This is an essential camp for those wanting to see growth in their soccer skills. 

AYSA Payment Policy:
All payments must be completed before the first day of camp. A $10 late fee will be added for any unpaid or walk-up registrations on the first day of camp.

Parent's Night Out (February 13th) - Winter 2026

Parent's Night Out 

If you need a date night or time to yourself, then be sure to join us for Parent's Night Out! Playing games, watching a movie, and eating pizza are just a few of the fun activities kids get to experience during this event. 

Date: Friday, February 13th

Time: 6:00-10:00PM

Cost: $35 per child if registered by February 11th. 

 $40 per child if registered after February 11th. 

Age Group: Children ages 5-12 

Drop-Off: 5:30-6:00PM

Pick-Up: 9:30-10:00PM, however parents may pick up their child(ren) at any time throughout the event.

Limited team spots are available for each age group, so be sure to register your team early to secure a spot.

You must turn in a completed roster that will then allow your team members to register online. Each team member will receive an email explaining how to register online once you have completed the roster portion of registration.  

Cost: $115 per player

Our volleyball spring break camp is intended to cover every skill of the game of volleyball for your young athlete. This camp is for beginners as well as for those that have been playing for several years. Here is what will be included:

Serving: Footwork, armswing mechanics, building confidence, working on core power, jump serving for advanced players.

Hitting: Introduction to approaches and transitions, armswing mechanics, jumping for height and power.

Passing/Defense: Proper technique and footwork, controlling where the pass goes, and moving quickly to the ball. 

Setting: Introduction to setting techniques and proper hand contact on the ball. 

Games: We will be playing small mini-games each day to utilized the skills that have been presented. This can be serving games, short-court games, wave-through and rotation games.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Each team will play 2-3 pool play games to 25 points followed by a single elimination playoff bracket. All teams will advance to bracket - which will be a best of 3 series (sets 1-2 played to 20, set 3 if needed to 15). **This format is subject to change depending on the number of teams registered** 

DIVISIONS: Recreation and Competitive (High School and Older)

ROSTER: Roster limit is 6. There must be at least 1 female on the court at all times. 

COST: $60/team

AYSA Girls Summer League (June 1-22) - Summer 2026

The Abilene Girls Basketball League is AYSA's Junior High and High School Basketball League. THIS IS A BRING YOUR TEAM ONLY LEAGUE!!!

LIMITED SPOTS FOR EACH DIVISION 

This league will be played on MONDAY NIGHTS ONLY!!! Starting JUNE 2nd and go until JUNE 23rd. (no weeks will be skipped)

This is a 4 week long league that will consist of a Junior High, Freshman/Junior Varsity Division and a Junior Varsity (Big School)/Varsity Division for GIRLS. It will be limited team spots, so do not wait or you might miss out!

Price is based on number of teams - One team $500 Per Team, Two teams $450 Per Team, or 3 teams $400 Per Team

Teams will play (3) 16 min games per night.

Adult Volleyball League (Jun. 21-Aug. 2) - Summer 2026

July 5th we will not have league.  

Coed A (Advanced), Coed B (Intermediate), Coed C (Recreational) Divisions--Guaranteed 2 matches per night.

Free Agent option available for those that do not have a team. ($50 per person.)

Matches will start as early as 5:30pm and finish around 8:30pm. Schedules will be posted a few days prior to the start of the season.

Volleyball Firm Foundations 1 (July 6-22) - Summer 2026

K-3rd Grade (Cost: $100 per player)

This is our developmental program that introduces the game of volleyball to children. Within this program, players will begin to learn the basic skills of the game while also building character and leadership skills. Parents must be fully dedicated and actively involved in this program with their child.  Age appropriate games and activities will be utilized to allow for a fun environment in which the fundamental skills of the sport are presented.  Parents are expected to be involved and engaged in every training session at the facility as well as the home training portion which involves both physical and skill-based activities.  (If a parent can’t be present then it can be any adult figure in their life.)

AYSA PAYMENT POLICY:

All payments must be completed before the first day of camp. For those who have not paid by the first day of camp, a $10 late fee will be added. (This includes any walk-up registrations on the first day of camp.

This middle school 2-day camp is designed to prepare each athlete to be confident and ready for their school season. Our emphasis will be on repetition and technique. All basic skills of basketball will be attended to, with the most focus being placed on the shooting and finishing aspect of the game.

We do offer walk-up registrations for our camps! However, please note:

• A $10 late fee will be added for all walk-up registrations and payments taken on first day of the camp.

To avoid the additional fee and secure your spot, we encourage early registration!

Jon Smith Memorial Showcase (July 17-18) - Summer 2026

The Jon Smith Memorial Showcase is for high school volleyball teams

July 17-18, 2026, Dodge Jones Youth Sports Center, Abilene, TX

Our goal is to provide you with a full schedule of quality matches during the weekend, giving all participants the opportunity to improve as players, teammates, and young women of character. We will guarantee plenty of chances for all athletes to get ample time out on the floor.

Pool Play games will take place on Friday. All bracket play will be on Saturday. 

Team Entry:

We offer two different divisions for the Jon Smith Showcase. 

Varsity Division--$550 per team

JV/Freshman Division--$400 per team (this division has a few less matches than the varsity division)

$200 deposit deadline July 1st to hold team spots.

· Team reservations are made on a first come, first served basis (with application & deposit required)

Our volleyball all-skills camp is intended to cover every skill of the game of volleyball for your young athlete. This camp is for beginners as well as for those that have been playing for several years. Here is what will be included:

Serving: Footwork, armswing mechanics, building confidence, working on core power, jump serving for advanced players.

Hitting: Introduction to approaches and transitions, armswing mechanics, jumping for height and power.

Passing/Defense: Proper technique and footwork, controlling where the pass goes, and moving quickly to the ball. 

Setting: Introduction to setting techniques and proper hand contact on the ball. 

Games: We will be playing small mini-games each day to utilized the skills that have been presented. This can be serving games, short-court games, wave-through and rotation games.

AYSA VolleyKids League (Aug. 31-Oct. 19) - Fall 2026

Monday Evenings--Aug.31st-Oct.19th (1 hr. segments from 5:30pm-8:30pm)

Boys and Girls--Age Groups 6-8, 9-10,11-12      Cost: $115 per player

This is a progressive, practice/play league. The first part of every evening will allow time for a team practice followed by 2 timed games. This progressive approach allows for young players to build their fundamental skills of passing, setting, attacking, serving, and defense, while also learning strategies of the game through league play. Players will register as individuals and will be placed on teams by AYSA staff. Each players will be given a team shirt.

Schedule information will be emailed to participants two weeks before league play begins. Volunteer coaches are needed for this league. Please contact Sabrina at sbingham@abileneysa.org if you are interested in coaching your child's team. 

IMPORTANT PAYMENT UPDATE:

To ensure a smooth start for all our programs, league payments are now due two weeks before the program begins or a $20 late fee will be added to late registrations. If payment is not completed before the start date, participants will not be allowed to take part in the program.

This basketball academy is to set your child up to be a successful player. 

This is a fast paced skills academy that meets 2x a week on TUESDAY and THURSDAY from 5:30-6:30pm.

We will help teach your child the fundamentals of basketball as well as how to progress those basic skills into game like situations. 

We do offer walk-up registrations for our camps! However, please note:

DINKin' at the Dodge (October 7th-29th) - Fall 2026

Join our adult pickleball league and come DINK at the Dodge!! This 4-week session will be open doubles, teams are placed into divisions based on skill level. Teams can be women, men, or mixed. Each team will play a minimum of 2 games a week, BUT if you want to play more games a week, then you can register for multiple offerings. The season will end with a single elimination tournament on the last day of the league.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:  Guaranteed 2 pool play games - played to 25 points. All teams will advance to the single elimination bracket which will be a best 2 of 3 series, sets 1-2 play to 20 points, set 3 to 15 points. **This format is subject to change depending on number of teams registered**

DIVISIONS: Recreation & Competitive   (High school and older, must have at least one female on the court at all times)

ROSTER: 6 players max. 

COST: $60/team if registered by October 19th | $70/team if registered after October 19th   (Schedules will be sent out on Monday, October 26th)

Best in the West Adult Volleyball Tournament (Nov. 7-8) - Fall 2026

Best In the West Adult Volleyball Tournament (November 7-8, 2026)

Location: Dodge Jones Youth Sports Center--Abilene, TX

Cost: $250 per team

Divisions: Competitive and Recreational Co-Ed (Must have a minimum of 2 female players on the court at all times.) All players must be 18 or older. 

6v6 Indoor Adult Volleyball tournament with pool play on Saturday and then all teams move on to the tournament bracket on Sunday. Teams will be seeded in the tournament based on pool play win/loss record. 1st and 2nd place will receive an award in each tournament bracket. 

Discount Code: If you are bringing a team that is playing in the AYSA fall adult league, we will provide you with a discount code for the tournament. However, your roster must remain the same to receive the discount code. If you pick up other players not on your league roster, then the discount will not apply. 

Prizes:  1st Place: Prizes and a free entry to next year's tournament, 2nd Place: 50% voucher to next year's tournament

Parent's Night Out (December 18th) - Winter 2026

Parent's Night Out 

If you need a date night or time to yourself, then be sure to join us for Parent's Night Out! Playing games, watching a movie, and eating pizza are just a few of the fun activities kids get to experience during this event. 

Date: Friday, December 18th

Time: 6:00-10:00PM

Cost: $35 per child if registered by December 16th. 

 $40 per child if registered after December 16th. 

Age Group: Children ages 5-12 

Drop-Off: 5:30-6:00PM

Pick-Up: 9:30-10:00PM, however parents may pick up their child(ren) at any time throughout the event. 

What to Bring:

• Comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes 
• Water bottle with child's name (preferred) 
• Meal arrangement (if not eating pizza) 
• Pillow and blanket to watch movie (optional)
