The season is currently scheduled to run November to mid February. For the first 2-3 weeks of the season teams will practice approximately two times each week (one weeknight and one weekend). When games begin, teams will play one to two games on the weekend and practice once per week (Mon-Fri). Teams will practice and play games at various times and on various days of the week.
League FAQs
Zones: Cary Youth Winter Basketball is divided into 3 zones: West, Central & South. Players may choose to play in any zone, but may not play in multiple zones. Some leagues are only offered in the Central zone due to numbers. Below is a description of each zone and their gym locations.Winter Youth Basketball Zone Map (Update coming in September)
West Zone participants may practice and play home games at any or all of these locations. Teams may also have some games in zones other than the one in which they are registered.
Locations: Alston Ridge Middle School, Davis Drive Middle School, Green Hope Elementary School, Mills Park Middle School or Bond Park Community Center.
Central Zone participants may practice and play home games at any or all of these locations. Teams may also have some games in zones other than the one in which they are registered.
Locations: Herb Young Community Center, East Cary Middle School, Reedy Creek Middle School, West Cary Middle School.
South Zone participants may practice and play home games at any or all of these locations. Teams may also have some games in zones other than the one in which they are registered.
Locations: Middle Creek Community Center.
