Adult Softball

Scheduling:

• Mandatory Arrival: All teams must be present and ready to play 10 minutes before their scheduled start time.
• Roster Checks: CARD reserves the right to complete an ID confirmation roster check at any point of the season. Only players who meet league requirements and have signed up as a player on their team roster via TeamSideline are eligible to play.
• Rescheduling: Due to the scale of our leagues, schedules are final, barring any mistakes by CARD or reschedules due to weather. We cannot accommodate requests for adjustments due to social events, work conflicts, or personal schedules. Any reschedules will not happen on the regularly scheduled day/time based on field/gym availability.
• Forfeits: If your team cannot field a roster, you must notify CARD by 12:00 p.m. on game day. Failure to do so impacts officials and opposing teams.

Team Managers- The Single Point of Contact: To ensure professional communication, every team must designate a Team Manager each game.

• Official Liaison: The Team Manager is the only individual authorized to communicate with officials and on-site staff.
• Pre-Game Briefing: Team Managers must meet with officials for a mandatory briefing prior to the start of every game.
• Team Accountability: Team Managers are directly responsible for the behavior of their players and their spectators. If your sideline is out of control, the Manager will be held accountable.

Zero-Tolerance Code of Conduct: Leave the ego at the gate. This is a recreational league, not a professional tryout. CARD is a recreation district dedicated to safe, fun community gatherings, not professional athletics. This isn't the pros; it’s a league for neighbors. Respect the game, respect the staff, and respect each other. We prioritize respect, sportsmanship, and safety above all else.

• Staff Authority: CARD staff reserves the right to stop or forfeit any game, or eject anyone exhibiting disrespectful, unsafe, or unsportsmanlike behavior. All ejections must immediately vacate the program site property.

• Automatic Suspensions: Any player or spectator ejected from a game will serve an automatic, minimum season-long probation.

Liability & Insurance: Participation is at your own risk. CARD does not provide coverage for personal liability, property damage, or medical injuries. By taking the field/court, players and spectators acknowledge and accept this individual risk.

Facility Respect: Help us maintain our permits and facilities.

• Clean Your Bench: Pick up all trash and wipe up water spills before exiting the area.
• Leave it Better: Failure to maintain a clean site may result in team penalties or loss of facility privileges.
• Playing Area: To ensure the safety of all participants and maintain the flow of competition, teams must strictly prohibit children and non-players from entering the field of play at any time during the game.
