Medieval Longsword - Level 1 - Spring 2025

This class, hosted by the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy, introduces students to the fundamentals of Medieval German Longsword Combat. The techniques that will be taught are taken directly from translations of a Renaissance Swordsmanship Manual, published in 1570 by Joachim Meyer. This class will be taught by Brian Chau, and will include optional sparring. Required protective equipment will be provided, with the exception of an athletic cup.
