Youth Basketball - Winter 2024 - Winter 2024

Kearney Parks & Rec Proudly Presents Youth Basketball!

Games Start after school Winter Break.

Practices tentatively starting early Dec (Depending on how many teams / registrations by cutoff date).

All games played on Saturdays Hawthorne Elementary School. Practices at various elementary schools in Kearney on weekday evenings TBD.

Teams are coed and randomly assigned by computer.

Buddy System: Players can choose a buddy to play with. Buddies must choose each other to be paired together.

Games on Saturdays at Hawthorne Elementary. **Makeup games could possibly be played mid-week, if snow forces cancellations**

Practice times / days will be based on gym availability and the coach's availability. This means there will be practices during the week, possibly including Wednesdays. No team transfers will be granted. 

3 Divisions:

1-2 Grade

3-4 Grade

5-6 Grade

Senior Day Trips - Fall 2024

Senior day trips are offered monthly through Kearney Parks & Recreation. We meet and leave from the parking lot of Mack Porter Park at 10:30 am, and are generally home by 4:30 pm. The $65 trip includes transportation, lunch, and tickets to a show. We'd love to have you come along! For more info, call Ryan at 816-903-4730.
