The annual Light Up Lufkin contest is here! Don't miss out on this fun annual tradition as we celebrate the holiday season! Nominate yourself or your neighbor for this fun holiday activity. This year, the Parks and Recreation Team will judge all nominated homes.
Participants may enter their home, neighbor's home or any location in the City of Lufkin.
After all the submissions are received, the Parks and Recreation Department creates a map that includes the locations of all the houses and businesses that have entered the contest. This map can be used for self-guided tours throughout the City of Lufkin so that you and your family can enjoy the tour.

2023 Theme- Toyland Christmas
Residential and Business Division Catagories: Best Interpretation of Theme, Most Creative, and Best use of lights
All entries are judged on originality, creativity, and use of the holiday theme designated in their entry description. Special Lighting, musical effects, and live actors are encouraged.
The Parks and Recreation Department will judge all entries. One winner will be awarded for each category. Judging includes the part of your yard and house that is visible to the public. Judging will occur on December 18, 2023, between 6 pm- 10 pm.
Winners will receive bragging rights and a keepsake award sign in their yard. Winners will also be featured on the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
