Cheer TEAM - Winter 2024

About the Lufkin Cheer Team

The Lufkin Cheer Team is part of the Lufkin Parks and Recreation Department, cheering at sports and city events throughout the year. Participants can choose to commit to different seasons, including basketball, soccer, and various city festivals such as the Forest Festival, Spring Fling, Summer Fest, Heritage Festival, 4th of July, and Christmas Parade.

Seasons & Registration
Tryouts: October 29th, 6:00 PM (team placement)
-Basketball Season: November 5th or 7th - March 1st ($120/month)
- Off-Season Activities: Focus on skills development ($80/month)

Practice Schedule
- Basketball Season: Tuesdays (6-7 PM), Thursdays (6-8 PM), and Saturdays if needed
- Off-Season: Weekly 2-hour practice

Uniforms
- Cost: $250 (deposit of $125 due October 29th)
- Full payment by January 1st
- Additional items: white cheer shoes, socks, and cheer makeup
