THE OPTIMIST CLUB OF NORMAN

Established February 7, 1974, The Norman Optimist Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the youth of Norman and surrounding areas. The Norman Optimist Club will not deny any child living in a Norman school district the opportunity to participate in its programs for reasons other than health or age limitations.

2026 Sideline Cheer - Fall 2026

Late: June 1 - June 5 (must have coaches approval prior to enrollment) ($150) 

Teams can begin fundraising immediately to help pay for uniforms, accessories, and other squad related expenses. 
 
Practice: begins June 8th
Season: end of August through beginning of November
Uniform cost: $250 - $280 (can use previous season's uniform - only need to purchase sleeves)

Squads will be cheering for our youth Tigers and Timberwolves football teams, the exact team and age will be determined by the coaches as the season gets closer. 

Our squads will participate in several events around town, such as both schools' homecoming parades, the City of Norman Christmas Parade, youth sports appreciation nights, and possibly some other events.

2026 Football Speed/Agility Camp - Summer 2026

2026 Speed, Agility, and Technique Camp

Registration is FREE!

Camp will kickoff on Tuesday, May 26th! It will be twice a week, Tuesday/Thursday until June 25th, 7pm - 8:30pm.
 
We will be doing drills to increase foot speed, agility, and quickness, as well as doing more football specific skills. Campers will need to bring cleats, a large water bottle, and a good attitude! We recommend participants wear T-shirts and gym type shorts. 
 
The location will be announced soon. Parents are welcome to attend and watch from the sidelines. 

We are looking for sponsors to provide extras for the camp, such as shirts, refreshments, etc. - please email normansports@gmail.com if you are able to help fill this need!
