April was a digging dynamo early on as Spike raced out to steal set one. But the Kiss players were last season's champs for a reason. Gritty, resilient team play turned the tide for Kiss and the champs edged Spike to take two of three.

When I stopped by early in set two, Tea was struggling a bit against a rock solid Big Dig squad. But they soon righted the ship and took three pretty tight sets. Big Dig looked particularly tenacious at the net tonight.

Ball Too Well puts it all together for a convincing win against the always dangerous Khaos group. Superior team play kept Ball Too Well on top throughout. Khaos, as usual, kept things interesting throughout with its impressive talent.

Jim told me, "When we pass, we can play with anybody." And pass they did! The Finks really played well tonight, and they snagged three close sets against last season's champs. Owen, Collin, Liz, Jim, Sarah and Tom starred for the winners, while Joe was a beast at the net for Kiss. Sam is also an extremely talented setter for Kiss!

I didn't see any of this match, but Reece reports it was more of the same from Spikes. Solid team play, April digging like a clam, and Dave had an outstanding night with some tips at the net. Chew made some key adjustments late to prevent the sweep in a convincing set three win.

Tommy removed some air from an overinflated ball, then Spike used that ball to put together a nice three-set win against the very solid Khaos group. Reece reports nice net play from Spike spelled the difference. Khaos had a nice third set to keep things interesting!

Tonight, the three Big Dig females of Jess, Rachel and Sneaky Alyssa did enough to snatch two of three against Chew. I'm not sure there's a gym in Kendall County that can contain Cody's leaping ability! Kiera and Skylr were solid as well!

An unfortunate ankle injury to Ally forced KissMyAce to compete at less than full strength for much of the way, and everyone in the league hopes for a full and rapid recovery.
