When the ref does Romeoville matches, it seems he always has bad matches. In this league, it's Dink. Another bad outing - I don't think I affected the outcome, but this one definitely won't make my highlight reel. Need to regroup for Dink and Blockheads next week as both fine teams deserve better!

Wow, what an enjoyable match this was! Two incredibly even teams duking it out over three tremendous sets. Despite missing one illegal, the ref is proud to report 100% accuracy on line calls, which is rare for a Dink match and is well above the 94.7% IHSA standard. Natalie and Lexi earned the win for Dink against always tough Net Worth.

I need to remember that Dale is captain, NOT Emma! Zack came on in a sub role for KKC and put his tremendous athletic ability front and center. But Derek, Emily, and super sub Joel aren't too shabby themselves, and earned Shenanigans a tight 2-1 victory.

Fitz and the Shenanigans squad is a real force to be reckoned with in their debut season in this league, and they showed it by taking three sets against a really tough out in Dink. Jaret was all over the court for Dink, and Neuqua Valley product Jess kept Shenanigans on top.

KKC returns to its winning form with three tight sets over those crazy athletes with the Blockheads. Chad's game was stellar tonight, but it wasn't enough to overcome Dale's tremendous net play. Tash had the best play of the night late in this one, with a back row kill that just barely edged over the tape!

So it was VERY NICE to get out of the office early tonight to catch these two great teams in the opener. Norm and Zack had solid games, and of course Nat, Lexi, Carley, Tash and Dale always bring their considerable talents. These teams could play a thousand matches and each might win 500!

Jake didn't like my double call, and it must have angered him because right after that Karasuno ripped off five straight points to take charge in set two. Nick was driving the ball like a jackhammer all night, and it was nice to see Nurse Skye on the floor again. Super ladies Emily and Jess were their usual fantastic selves once again tonight, so this one was tight throughout.

This might have been the best match I've ever seen KKC play. Emma Miller is always good, but this was a new level even for her. Dale's return also helped things out, and Tash had a nice game as well.
