PLAYER EVALUATIONS: Evaluations will be held the week of Oct 21-24, 2024 at the San Jose Middle School Gym, 1000 Sunset Parkway. Players should wear basketball appropriate attire and be prepared for an hour of active basketball. Coaches will evaluate players for placement on the appropriate team. There will be no makeup evaluations. All registered players will be placed on a team. Our objective is to match the skill level of players to the team that best fits their abilities. Every registered player will be placed on a team, as long as they have the basic basketball skills to compete at either the “A” or “B” level.  (This does not include those who added their name/registered for the "waitlist". Players will be added from the waitlist if someone cancels, or we have enough players on the waitlist to add another team. Waitlist payments will be refunded in full after it is determined we will not have room to add the player from the waitlist.)

Typically there is one “A” team and one “B” teams per grade. The “A” team will consist of approximately 10 players. The remainder of the children will be placed on "B" teams with the goal of making the "B" teams as even as possible. 

Parents should plan to have their children check in 15 minutes prior to their evaluation time. Our skills evaluation sessions will be closed and parents will not be allowed to remain in the gym and observe. Our goal is to provide a fun and pressure-free environment to demonstrate their skills.
