Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Adult Tennis Program - Winter 2025

New Adult Tennis Program

This adult tennis program is designed to provide instruction for players at all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. The Birmingham Tennis Academy will manage the clinics, which will take place at the Wald Park Tennis Courts.

Beginner (1.0 - 2.0) 
This program is for players who are new to tennis or have been away from the game and are looking to sharpen their skills.
  
Clinic Days/Times:  
- Wednesday: 9:30 - 11:00 am  
- Friday: 9:30 - 11:00 am  

Advanced Beginner (2.0 - 2.5) 
This program is designed for players with minimal experience who are familiar with the basic strokes and wish to improve their overall play.
  
Clinic Days/Times:  
- Monday: 6:00 - 7:30 pm  
- Thursday: 9:30 - 11:00 am  

Intermediate-Advanced (3.0 - 3.5) 

 This program is designed for players with good stroke fundamentals and experience in match play.

Clinic Days/Times:

- Tuesday: 9:30 - 11:00 am

Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Youth Tennis Program - Futures Clinic - Winter 2025

The Futures Program - Ages 11-18

This program is designed for beginning juniors aged 11 to 18 years. It is ideal for those with limited match experience. The program emphasizes technique and strategy through engaging drills and match play. Participants will be grouped based on their skill levels. Coaches from Birmingham Tennis Academy will lead the program. 

Clinics will be held at the Wald Park Tennis Courts on Mondays from 5-6PM and Wednesdays from 5-6PM. Players can sign up for either one day or two days per week.

Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Youth Tennis Program - Orange/Green Ball - Winter 2025

The Orange/Green Ball Program - Ages 8-10

This program is designed for children under the age of 10 who have had an introduction to the sport of tennis. It aims to guide students into competitive tennis by continuing to develop their fundamental skills while introducing them to match play.

Coaches from the Birmingham Tennis Academy will lead the clinic, which will take place at Wald Park Tennis Courts. Sessions are scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-6PM. Participants can choose to sign up for either one day per week or two days per week.

Vestavia Hills Parks and Leisure Youth Tennis Program - Red Ball - Winter 2025

The Red Ball Program - Ages 5-8

This program is designed to provide a fun introduction to tennis for children ages 5 to 8. It will focus on developing hand-eye coordination, agility, and the fundamental skills of tennis.

Coaches from the Birmingham Tennis Academy will lead the sessions. The clinics will take place at Wald Park Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoons from 4:45-5:30PM.
