What is included in player fees?

What is not included in player fees?
Player Equipment is not included – bat, glove, belt, pants, cleats, etc. Catcher equipment is supplied by the league to for each team to use during the seasonAt the beginning of Spring Season, SLL offers a donation table for donated out grown equipment. This table is available for any and all SLL Members.
Does Sunrise Little League offer girls softball? If not, are girls allowed to participate?
Currently SLL does not offer softball however, girls are welcome to participate in our Regular League Spring Season or Fall Ball Season and Spring Tournament of Champions (TOC).
What to expect in the Spring Season?
Spring Season begins with 2-3 tryout days in January/February. Players participating in Farm, Minor, Major, 50/70, Junior, & Senior Divisions need to attend a minimum 2 of the 3 tryout days. These tryouts are not for cuts or forming “the best team”. Tryouts are for player evaluations of skill levels for managers to create fair teams during the draft. Teams should have a variety of player skill levels.Spring practice begins early February and games begin on Opening Day, which is typically the 2nd Saturday in March. TeeBall, Rookie and Farm Divisions finish their League Season at the end of May/beginning of June. Minors, Majors, 50/70, Juniors, and Seniors end the League Season with the Tournament of Champions (TOC). ***Little League requires that all teams participate in a minimum of 12 regular season games. (Senior League: 10 games)
What to expect in the Fall Ball Season?
Fall is a development instructional season to prepare players for the Spring Season. Fall Ball practice begins mid August and ends the last weekend in October. There are no tryouts, player evaluations, player draft or tournaments. The Little league Baseball Season & Fiscal year begin September 1 of each year. The Fall Ball Season is the beginning of the new Age Chart.
When do schedules get posted?
Practice schedules are posted as soon as teams are formed and are at the request of the Team Manager. Game schedules are posted once all participating leagues teams are formed. Fall Ball Season games begin the week following Labor Day. Spring Season games begin on Opening Day, which is typically the 2nd Saturday in March.
Bat Information
Players in Tee Ball, Rookie, Farm, Minor, and Major Divisions must use a bat approved through the USABat Standard. - At the Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division and the Junior League Baseball Division, players may use either USABat Standard bats or BBCOR bats. - Senior League Baseball Division players must use a BBCOR bat. - BBCOR is the standard used at the high school and collegiate level. What is SLL policy on parent involvement?
Sunrise Little League is a 5013c Non-Profit that is FULLY operated by a nominated ALL volunteer Board. The SLL Executive and Auxiliary Board appointments are committed from September 1 – August 31. The only way our league can continue to operate is with parent involvement each season. There are many areas that must be covered during each season. ***Parents are required AND expected to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per season

View the BoardTeam Manager – Managers facilitate practices, games and communicate with the SLL Board. Managers attend the draft and select teams. Coach – Coaches support the managers at practices and games Team Mom – Team Moms (or Parents) are the liaison between the Team Managers and Team Parents. They facilitate money collection, banner, snack schedule, snack bar team work schedule, score-keeping team schedule, team party, communication support, team fundraising collection, Manager and Coaches Gifts etc. Snack Bar Shift Leader – Each time the snack bar is open, a Shift Leader works the cash register and directs snack bar workers. Shift Leaders earn snack bar perks and accumulate discounts toward player registration. Snack Bar Shift Worker – ALL PLAYERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUPPLY A VOLUNTEER TO WORK A MINIMUM OF 1 SNACK BAR SHIFT EACH SEASON. SLL offers a buy-out program. Details can be found here. Score Keepers - Farm divisions and older are required to provide someone to keep score and pitch count.Field Maintenance – Field Maintenance Days are scheduled 2-4 times per year.
