Welcome to 3rd Shot Pickleball Leagues!
This section has all of the league info you’ll need for things like schedules, sub policy, playoff format, DUPR, and more!
(This is NOT where you will register for leagues - that is all done in Court Reserve.)
Key Details:
Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled league start time and check-in at the bar. You will get your team’s court and game assignment(s) for the evening - 1 hour leagues will play one best of 3 game series, games to 11, win by 2. Two hour leagues will play two best of 3 game series against two different opponents.

DUPR - All leagues that list a DUPR range will require a DUPR profile for this session of leagues. We will be recording all of the games into DUPR to develop accurate player ratings for all of the participants. A DUPR profile is FREE and can be created at mydupr.com on your computer or by downloading the DUPR app in the app store on your phone. Please add 3rd Shot Pickleball Wheat Ridge as a club in the DUPR app.

Playoffs - We will be doing 7 weeks of regular season games, then a single elimination tournament to finish things off during week 8. The top 4 teams in the league will advance to the tournament, the remaining teams will play a king/queen of the court week 8. We will email playoff specifics out at the end of the 7 week regular season.
Sub Policy - If you are going to miss a league game, please find a sub. Subs of a similar skill level are allowed if you or your partner will miss your game. If both partners are going to miss a game, your team will forfeit for the week unless you schedule a makeup game on your own. (If attempting to reschedule, your opponent’s email address is available by clicking their name on the schedule. Any reschedules are entirely on your own to set up and play. We’ll just need to scores once completed.)
The easiest place to find subs is using the TeamReach app which can be downloaded for free to your phone. Our group code is our zip code “80033” and there are more than 800 3rd Shot Wheat Ridge players in there that can see posts looking for subs.
Sub policy for the playoffs - A sub is allowed in the playoffs only if that sub has played in leagues at 3rd Shot Pickleball before. If they have not participated in leagues here before, they are not eligible to play in the playoffs. Only one player may be replaced with a sub, if both players are going to miss the playoffs they will have to forfeit the game and their opponent will advance.
If you win your league - Winning teams get 100% of the league fees credited back to their Court Reserve account and 2nd place teams get 50% of their league fees credited back to their Court Reserve account.
Bye weeks - We will do everything possible to get even numbers of teams in each league so that we do not have any Bye’s. However, injuries, vacations, etc happen! If you have a bye, you will still have a court available so you can play, you’ll just need to bring opponents or plan to drill with your partner.
Sportsmanship - Please treat others with respect, win or lose. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated.
Warmup - Quick reminder we have 4 Dinkmats hung up in the front entry vestibule and everyone is always welcome to hit against the wall out there to warm up!
