Soccer Rules

RULES

• All playing rules will follow the CIF High School Rule Book with the exceptions below:

PLAYERS

• Eight (8) on each team

UNIFORMS

• Must be numbered
• Goalie shirt must be a different color
• Cleats
• Shin Guards

FIELD

• Length: 70 - 80 yards
• Width: 45 - 50 yards
• Penalty Box: 31 yards x 14 yards
• Penalty Spot: 10 yards
• Goal Size: 6 x 18 feet or 7 x 21 feet
• Goal Area: 18 yards x 6 yards

BALL

• Size 5

SUBSTITUTIONS

• Unlimited
• Must be made during a stoppage in play

MATCH TIME

• Two 30-minute halves
• 5-minute halftime

OVERTIME

• Two 5-minute halves
• If still tied, five players selected from those on the field at the end of the match will take penalty kicks
