GlenOak Little Eagles Youth Basketball - Fall 2025

Teams have been formed, and schedules are out!  Check your teamsideline account!

 

Little Dribblers (Grades K - 2, boys & girls on same teams)

  • $75/player (includes practices, games, a basketball & jersey)
  • Beginning the week of Oct 20, there will be 1 weekday practice for 1 hour.
  • Games - Nov 1, Nov 8, Nov 15, Nov 22, Dec 6, Dec 13
  • There are two different divisions: One for only Kindergarten players and another with combined 1st/2nd grade players.
  • There is no skills assessment for Little Dribblers.

Rec League (Grades 3 - 6)

  • $90/player (includes practices, games & jersey)
  • Skills Assessment Boys and Girls -Sunday, Sept 28-- Time TBD
  • Skills Assessments are recommended but not required to play
  • Beginning the week of Oct 20, there will be 1 weekday practice for 1 hour.
  • BOYS - Games begin Nov 8th and will be weekly on Saturdays with a season ending 1-day tournament Jan 17, 2026. (No games over Thanksgiving or Winter break).
  • GIRLS - If there are enough players, we would LOVE to do an in-house league. If not, the league will be locally through either the NEO Premier League or the Massillon Rec League program. More information to follow soon.

Competitive League (formerly called Travel) (Grades 2-6)

  • $200 (2nd) - $275 (3rd-6th) estimated/player (includes practices, games, tournament fees and uniforms).
  • Skills Assessment - Sunday, Sept 28-- Time TBD. Possible second assessment the following week.
  • Season runs Oct 2025 - Feb 2026. League games are played locally at J Babe Stern Center in Canton and/or Swish 365 in North Canton.
  • End of season tournaments - cost includes 1 tournament for 2nd grade and 4-6 tournaments for 3rd through 6th grade (most tournaments are within an hour travel time).
  • Practice likely begins the week of Oct 27.  Two practices a week for our competitive teams.


LEAGUE ELIGIBILITY

In order to be eligible to participate in the GlenOak Little Eagles Youth Basketball Program, players must:

Live in Plain Local School District and attend Plain Local schools; 

Live in Plain Local School District and attend a Private School (regardless of where Private School is located); OR

Live in a direct neighboring school district that does not offer a comparable program. 

 Joint custody situations where parents reside in different school districts will be determined at the discretion of the board on a case by case basis.  


The GlenOak Little Eagles Basketball Program is designed to serve all levels of basketball development. This program strives to teach fundamentals and skills to help our youth become better players. We stress having a good attitude and outlook, as this helps our players become better teammates.
