PICKLEBALL LEAGUE INFORMATION
League Information
League match play will be scheduled on designated days/times based on skill level. You can refer to your club’s schedule for a list of offerings.
In-Shape Membership: You must be an In-Shape member at one of our clubs to participate in league play.
Flex Options: The flex option allows you to request a different day and time that works for you and your opponent. Matches must be played within the week (7 day timeframe). If players have a scheduling conflict within the week, a request to move the match in to the following week may be submitted to the league director (Activates Coordinator) or clubs General Manager.
Skill Levels: Select your skill level based on your ranking through DUPR and Pickleball Brackets. The league director (Activates Coordinator) or clubs General Manager will review all players and will move players to appropriate skill levels as needed.
League Format
- Round Robin, 2/3 to 11 points, win by 2.
- 2 players per team, see how to register your team below.
- Skill rating must be selected based on DUPR and Pickleball Brackets player ratings listed.
- Switch sides at 6 only in tiebreaker game.
- Home team will serve, away team chooses sides. Home vs away teams will be listed on the schedule once published.
- 1 timeout per game, no longer than 1 minute.
- Play will be restricted to the designated day and time. Please refer to the flex option above if needed.
- A five-minute warm up will be allowed at the start of the first game only.
- Only rostered players may play. If a non-rostered player is used in a game, that game will not count towards a win. That game will be considered a forfeit.
- The top four teams will advance to the playoffs based on wins/losses accumulated during the season.
- First tiebreaker: head-to-head matches won. Second tiebreaker: point differential of all games played. Third tiebreaker: head-to-head point differential.
- The league will follow the USA Pickleball rules found on www.usapickleball.org.
- Score will be self-reported in the league management software by the teams “coach.” Coach is considered the team's captain.
- Court Rules - Players are expected to leave the court promptly at the conclusion of the blocked time for the league. Courts will be reserved for each league game.
- ** MLP Format for participating clubs**
- Each match will consist of up to four games to 25, win by 2. This format is rally scoring and a team must win a game on their serve. Game play will consist of: Women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and two mixed doubles games per scheduled match day in this order. A tiebreaker will be played to determine the winner of the match if teams are tied at 2-2 after all four games are played. All teams will play all four games even if the score is 3-0 after the first mixed doubles game.
