U18 youth sports volunteers who are also students. They balance significant responsibilities while making meaningful contributions. By being involved in community activities like sports volunteering, these students are shaping a brighter future. They are stepping into leadership roles at a young age, setting a positive example for their peers and building skills that will serve them in school, future careers, and life.
This award was created for those coaches who stepped up to help us officiate more than half of our Youth NFL Flag Football season last year. He has volunteered to coach more teams and more sports than anyone else in our program. And what’s even more remarkable? He does it without having a single child enrolled. They have shown an extraordinary level of dedication to our youth sports community. As a volunteer, they demonstrated not only an incredible work ethic, but also a genuine passion for helping young athletes grow, learn, and succeed. Since I have been part of our Youth Sports in 2022, these coaches have gone above and beyond, coaching over 10 teams across multiple seasons. We proudly present the Legacy Award to four of our coaches in recognition of their outstanding dedication and long-standing contribution to our Parks and Recreation youth sports programs. Their unwavering commitment to youth sports has made a lasting impact on our athletes, families, and community. Coaching more than 10 teams in just a few years reflects a rare level of dedication and passion for youth development. Season after season, these coaches bring stability and guidance, serving as a role model for players and fellow coaches alike.
