Youth Basketball Leagues - Winter 2026

Play basketball in this progressively organized league. Track your child’s development from the first practice to the last game. Fee includes jersey & shorts. Additional information available at teamsideline.com/mppd. Friend Request only honored in Kindergarten-Grade 2 levels (see Friend Request Policy). No games: 12/27 and 1/3

Kindergarten-Grade 2: REGISTRATION DEADLINE: November 3. Lower rims and smaller basketballs to ensure success for every participant. Focus on skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun. Teams are determined by gender, grade level and neighborhood zones. Friend requests are NOT
GUARANTEED! Kindergarten and 1st grade play at CCC. 2nd grade plays at RPX. Practices are once a week and begin in early/mid December 

Grade 3-6: REGISTRATION DEADLINE: October 6. More aspects of the game are introduced at each grade level, playing the game with little to no limitations. Basic basketball skills, team play, sportsmanship and fun are the main focus. The 10 game regular season concludes with a single elimination playoff. All players must attend one of the player evaluation days. Teams are balanced through a player draft, friend/school requests may not be honored! Practices are once a week and begin in early/mid November. Games played on Saturdays at various gyms. 5th/6th Girls division will have a deadline of November 3 with practices starting in early/mid December and games starting in January.

Grades 7 & 8: REGISTRATION DEADLINE: November 3. Northwest Suburban Park District Basketball Conference. We’ve teamed up with Des Plaines, River Trails, Prospect Heights and Wheeling Park Districts to provide a Jr. High basketball league! Games start in January
after the Jr. High school season ends. All players must attend one of the player evaluation days. Teams are balanced through a player draft, friend/school requests may not be honored!! Teams play a 12 game regular season with a single elimination playoff tournament. There will be an All Star Game for selected players at the end of the season. Practices are once a week and begin in early/mid December.
