2026 Smart Start Tball Preschool/TK/KG - Summer 2026

The Start Smart T-ball program is for preschool (must be at least 4 by the first day of the program), TK/KG.  The program's objective is for kids to start learning the sport of Baseball/Softball through fun games, light drills, and play.  Each group will have morning and evening scrimmages.  We encourage our coaches to stop the scrimmage and give immediate feedback as to what happened or what the player should be doing in a certain situation, every opportunity is a learning opportunity!

2026 Tot Lot - Summer 2026

This program is for kids in preschool through 3rd grade!  They will enjoy crafts, learning, games, art, and other fun activities at the Park!  Please register your child by the grade they are currently in. This year's lead instructor is Lanette Pint with assistant instructor Ainslea Pint!

Note: This year, we will only be offering one session for Tot Lot, duration will be 3 weeks!! 

Program Location:  Shelter # 6 at Mikkelson Park

Rain Location:  NH Community Center (112 E. Spring St.)

Program Dates:  June 9th - 26th       FEE:  $55.00

2026 Youth Golf Camp - Summer I 2026

Three day golf camp for youth going in to grades 3-8! This camp will touch on all of the basics (proper swing, chipping, putting, etc.), and introduce you to a wonderful life long sport!  This camp is instructed by Eric Olson, New Hampton High School Golf Coach.

Dates:  June 1st, June 2nd, and June 4th

* Please register with the grade your child will be going into for Fall 2026.

FEE: $35

Times:  3rd-5th Grade-8:30-9:30 am (Until 10:00 on Thursday)

           6th-8th Grade-10:00-11:15  am (Until Noon on Thursday)

Where:  New Hampton Golf & Country Club, 2074 Panora Ave.

            (Please meet at the driving range)

What you need:  If you have your own set of junior golf clubs, please bring them.  If not - don't worry, we will have a few extra.

Red Cross Swim Lessons- June 2026 - Summer 2026

The Red Cross Learn to Swim Program is designed for children 6 years and older. Students will progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in one level before advancing to the next.  Each level of our program includes training in basic water safety and helping others in an emergency, in addition to stroke development.

2026- June Under the Sea Swimmers (replacing Water Tots) - Summer 2026

For kids ages 4-5 (not yet in KG). We ask that you sign your child up for whatever class best fits where your child is currently at when it comes to water comfort and skills. 

Fee: 25.00 Dates: Monday-Friday June 22nd-26th

Sharks 9:00-9:45 Sharks are powerful, confident swimmers, our Sharks class is for kids who are ready to swim like one! Designed for more experienced swimmers, this class helps students strengthen their strokes, practice breathing, and swim longer distances with less help. Whales 10:00-10:45 Big, strong whales love the water, and our Whales swimmers do too! This class is for children who feel comfortable in the water and are ready to grow their swimming skills. They'll practice floating, kicking, and beginning arm movements while learning to move through the water with more control.Dolphins 11:00-11:45 Just like playful dolphins learning to swim in the ocean, our Dolphins class helps swimmers become comfortable in the water. This class is perfect for children who may feel a little shy or unsure about swimming. Through songs, games, and gentle water play, swimmers will practice blowing bubbles, floating, and kicking while building confidence and having fun.

This course is for a parent/child (ages 18 months to 3 years).  The goal of course is to introduce basic water skills to both the parent and child including; water adjustments, water safety, and readiness for swimming!  Parents are taught how to safely work with their child in the water, support techniques, and fun tricks to ease your child in to loving the water! Parent must accompany child in the water and participate in every session attended.  If a parent is not available, a caregiver over 18 is welcome. *Must have 1 adult per child registered.

Dates:  June 22nd-25th

Days:  Mon. - Thurs. (No make ups)

Times (2 Options):  5:15-5:45

Cost:  $25 per parent/child

Reg. Deadline: Thurs. May 14th or until classes are full

2026 Chickasaw Explorers - Summer II 2026

Instructors: Lanette and Ainslea Pint

This Program gives kids a chance to explore all New Hampton Parks have to offer. You'll meet at various parks in the area to play, do activities, and be creative! It's a great way for kids to get outdoors and burn some energy! Parent/Guardian must drop off/pick up your child to/from the planned location each day.

Details: Must have your own transportation to and from each location each day. Once registration is complete, we will email out exact locations for each day.

Rain location: will be in the Community Center where will do crafts, games, and physical activity.

For: Kids going into grades 1st-6th

Dates: August 10th-14th (Monday-Friday)

Times: 2:00-3:00 (1st/2nd/3rd graders)

           3:00-4:00 (4th/5th/6th graders)

Cost: 1 week- $35.00

Art Safari 2026 - Summer II 2026

Creative hands on art projects and the whole theater experience awaits 1st-6th graders at the Carnegie Cultural Center.  Campers make sets, props, and learn lines for a performance. Friday includes an Art Show and Performance pieces for public reception.

Dates:  August 3rd-7th (Monday-Friday)

Art Safari will be one large class this year! Register by grade your child is going into for the 26'-27' school year.

Time: 9:00- 11: 30 am

Fee: $35

Location: Carnegie Cultural Center
