OKC 405 FC will hold annual, semi-annual, regular monthly and special meetings as scheduled by the Board
Directors. The Regular meeting times is at 4:05PM on every Fourth (4th) Wednesday of each month. Annual and semi-annual meetings dates will be concurrent with the Fourth (4th) Wednesdays of May and December.
The election of Board Member Officers will be on June 26, 2024, during the regular scheduled meeting at 4:05pm on Microsoft Teams.
All members are welcome to attend this meeting through TEAMS. If you want to attend, please contact the Board’s Secretary, Karen Wiley no later than June 25th and request the link to login.
Any member that has interest in an elected position of President, Vice President 2, Vice President 3 may announce their interest and participate in the election by following these steps. The deadline for candidates is JUNE 20, 2024. The letter should describe your interest and qualifications for the position.
1. Submit a letter of interest by email to karen.wiley@okc.gov or by mail to OKC 405 Futbol Club, attn: Karen Wiley, 420 W. Main St., OKC, Ok 73102.
2. Attend the meeting on June 26, 2024.
3. During the June 26th meeting, be prepared to speak about yourself and qualifications to the current Board members and club members for three (3) minutes.
4. The election of officers for the available positions will precede immediately after all candidates have presented themselves.
ALL 405 FC members may attend; however voting rights are limited to one (1) coach per team and the current board members.
President, here are the top five focus points for the General Manager of OKC 405 FC:
Administrative Leadership: Responsible for the overall administrative and executive functions of OKC 405 FC. Appoints committees as necessary to carry out these functions.
Assignment and Delegation:
Assigns additional duties to all OKC 405 FC officers as required.
Governance and Compliance:
Enforces the Constitution and Bylaws.
Takes prudent and reasonable action in cases not covered in the Bylaws.
Meeting Management:
Sets the agenda and facilitates all meetings for OKC 405 FC.
Directs the Board Secretary to provide proper notice of these meetings.
Calls special meetings of the Board Directors as deemed necessary.
Calls additional General Meetings upon request from voting Board Directors or members.
Reporting and Communication:
Attends governing body meetings and makes reports to OKC 405 FC Board Directors.
Vice President II, here are the top five focus points for the Appeals role:
Presidential Duties in Absence:
Assumes all powers and responsibilities of the President in their absence.
Development and Presentation of Procedures:
Drafts and presents appeal procedures for consideration by the Board Directors.
Administration of Appeals Procedures:
Administrates appeals procedures and presents appeals to the Board Directors.
Complaint and Appeals Management:
Reviews all game appeals and complaints against members of OKC 405 FC.
Presents such complaints or appeals to the Board for discussion or resolution.
Committee Appointment and Oversight:
Appoints an Appeals Committee to process and resolve complaints or to determine if these should come before the Board.
Vice President III, here are the top five focus points for the Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator:
Fundraising Strategy and Activities:
Works with Board Directors to develop fundraising strategies.
Formulates solicitation procedures and oversees fundraising activities.
Liaison and Partnership Management:
Acts as a liaison with Board Directors, funding partners, and the City of Oklahoma City.
Works with Board Directors and coaches to help provide funding for teams/participants who need assistance.
Volunteer Coordination and Representation:
Ensures that all teams are properly represented in various volunteer positions.
Works with OKC 405 FC volunteers to coordinate their specific schedules effectively.
Volunteer Training and Documentation:
Works with the Secretary to maintain a log explaining various volunteer functions.
Helps incoming volunteers perform expected tasks.
Student Volunteer Opportunities:
Provides opportunities for students to earn volunteer hours while helping OKC 405 FC.
