Basketball - Winter 2024

Recreational Basketball Interlock

Little Dribblers will be offered for ages 5 (as of 8/31/2024) through 1st Grade and kept in Ponder this year allowing us to focus on building skills these first years

2nd grade through Sixth grade will play in our Ponder PALS teams in partnership with the surrounding towns of Sanger, Pilot Point, Tioga, Aubrey, Valley View and Era.

Registration $105.00 and Late Registration $130.

The registration fee is due at checkout to complete enrollment in 2024 Winter Basketball

Teams will be assembled primarily based on grade. Please make sure to register your child in their current grade.

Practices are expected to begin after Thanksgiving.

Games will start January 4 and all games will be played on Saturday except for the Playoffs and are expected to end the last weekend of February

Games will be in any of the towns participating in the interlock-Sanger, Pilot Point, Tioga, Aubrey, Valley View and Era.

Little Dribblers games will at Ponder only against other Ponder teams.

Practice will be determined by the coach and as gym space is allowed.

Ponder PALS Youth Sports

The purpose of PALS is to serve the children of our community, aged 14 and younger, by offering various organized recreational sports leagues, which provides an important opportunity for each child to participate in the American tradition of youth sports that encompasses installing the sense of teamwork, the excitement of victory and the character building exercise of facing defeat with dignity. The objective of PALS shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority, so that they may grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens. To achieve this objective PALS will provide supervised recreational programs under the rules and regulations of various franchised leagues which we may partner with or obtain membership in. PALS, although competitively structured, will not put more emphasis on winning than on sportsmanship and player/team development, nor will we partner with or obtain membership in any organization that does.

* Select teams in every sport are available in nearby towns for a higher registration fee with paid staff and administration. Please keep in mind PALS is a recreational league meant to introduce our youth to sports and develop a love of the game.
