City Park:
The City Park is located at 3071 Benham Street in downtown Placerville. The park currently consists of a meeting hall (Scout Hall), Tot Lot area for children, basketball courts, swings, slides, various playground equipment , picnic facilities, turf areas, restrooms, and the Aquatics Center.
El Dorado Trail:
The El Dorado Trail is a multi-purpose recreational trail with the emphasis towards biking, hiking and equestrian use. Hours of operation are from dawn to dusk. Trail-head parking in the City is located at the Placerville Station located at 2970 Mosquito Road, Placerville CA. Main Street is the El Dorado Trail between Bedford and Forni Road. The Placerville Bike Shop rents bikes. Fundraising and special events on the trail need to complete a special event application with the City. Gold Bug:
Step back in time and visit the Gold Bug Park which is located one mile north of Hwy 50 on Bedford Avenue. Enjoy gold panning, the historic stamp mill, self-guided and guided tours, two miles of hiking trails, and the Hattie Museum and Gift Shop. Lions Park:
Lions Park is located at 3633 Cedar Ravine Road. The park consists of twenty-four acres of recreational opportunities including two softball fields, two tennis courts, four pickleball courts, a tot lot, picnic facilities, turf areas, walking trails, a Frisbee golf course, and restrooms. Lumsden Park:
Lumsden Park is located at 3144 Wiltse Road.The park consists of four acres of recreational opportunities including a small fishing pond, tot lot play area, turf areas, picnic facilities, and restrooms. For more information please contact Recreation and Parks at (530) 642-5232.
Rotary Park:
Rotary Park is located at 3155 Clark Street in downtown Placerville. This is a four acre park including a little league ball field, swing and slides in the tot lot area, picnic tables, barbecue pits, lawn area, and restrooms. Gold Bug Park:
Gold Bug Park is located one mile north of Highway 50 on Bedford Avenue not far from downtown Placerville. The Liberty Claim Pavilion is a covered facility situated near the historic Gold Bug Mine . This new facility comes equipped with picnic tables and is ideal for large group meetings and/or picnics.For more information on renting the Liberty Claim Pavilion, please contact the Recreation Department at (530) 642-5232.
Lions Park:
Lions Park is located at 3633 Cedar Ravine in Placerville. The park is equipped with two softball fields and a Gazebo that can be rented. The Gazebo area has a shade structure, picnic tables, and a large B.B.Q. This area is ideal for group gatherings. Town Hall:
Located in historic downtown Placerville, Town Hall is located at 549 Main Street. Reservations can be made by contacting Recreation and Parks at (530) 642-5232.
