2025 Spring Hawks In Training - Spring 2025

We are excited to announce that our next session of "Hawks in Training" (H.I.T.) will take place from April 19th to June 22nd, 2025.

"Hawks in Training" (H.I.T.) is an exciting program designed by the Riverside Hawks staff, tailored specifically for boys and girls aged 4 to 9. This dynamic program offers more than just basketball instruction; it's a gateway to mastering the essentials of the game, where experienced coaches emphasize the fundamentals of basketball while fostering a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.

At H.I.T., we believe in nurturing young talents by providing a perfect blend of fun and learning. Our sessions span ten weeks, packed with engaging and age-appropriate activities, ensuring that each child gets a comprehensive introduction to the world of basketball. But it's not just about the sport; we're dedicated to helping our young athletes develop important life skills that will benefit them on and off the court.

As a token of our appreciation and to keep those wonderful memories alive, each participant receives special souvenirs, including a trophy, a jersey, and a bag. These keepsakes are more than just items; they're a celebration of the journey and progress each child makes in our program.

Riverside Hawks Basketball Training Services - Annual 2025

A comprehensive and systematic basketball training curriculum that builds fundamental skills through progressive levels based on mastery, not age. Ideal for athletes looking to advance their skills, technique, and basketball knowledge.

Development Levels:

• Introductory: 100% training focus - Learning fundamental movement skills. No full-court games.
• Foundational: 70% training, 30% competition - Building skills after mastering the introductory level.
• Advanced: 60% training, 40% competition - Team-oriented training with some assigned positions.
• Performance: 30% training, 70% competition - Maximizing individual and position-specific skills with live play.
  
  

Training Offerings:

Private Lessons:

• One-on-one training tailored to the athlete's skill level.
• Cost: $100 - $200 per hour
• Initial assessment required.

Group Training Sessions:

• Small group sessions to learn from peers and family.
• Cost: $30 - $75 per hour per person

Pop-Up Basketball Camps (Summer Only):

• Intensive training during school breaks.
• Cost: $200 - $500 per week

Training Packages:

• Monthly Package (Once per week): $400
• Monthly Package (Twice per week): $800
• Household Discount: $75 per individual for multiple kids.

Summer Camp 2025

Join us for an unforgettable summer of basketball, skill development, and team-building at the Riverside Hawks Summer Basketball Camp! Designed for young athletes of all skill levels, our camp blends athletic training with personal growth.

Camp Highlights:

• Skill Development: Improve dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense through dynamic drills.
• Team Play: Build basketball IQ and teamwork with scrimmages and competitive games.
• Elite Coaching: Learn from experienced coaches dedicated to your growth.
• Fun & Community: Participate in team-building activities and friendly competitions.
• Health & Wellness: Daily warm-ups, injury prevention, and healthy lifestyle tips.

Weekly Focus:

• Week 1 (June 30 - July 4): Fundamentals & Skill Development
• Week 2 (July 7 - July 11): Offensive Moves & Advanced Skills
• Week 3 (July 14 - July 18): Teamwork, Communication & Basketball IQ
• Week 4 (July 21 - July 25): Game Strategy & Refining Skills

Camp Details:

• Location: Riverside Church Gym, Upper Manhattan
• Ages: 8-15
• Camp Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Registration Fee: $300 per week (includes camp t-shirt, lunch, and snacks)

Program Highlights:

• Open to Boys and Girls in Grades 5–8
• Skill-building sessions led by experienced coaches
• Fun team competitions and leadership development

Tryout Details:

• Dates: April 1, 3, 8, and 10
• Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Join us every Wednesday from 4 PM to 7 PM starting on October 16, 2024, for an array of activities designed to foster growth and community spirit.

A Youth Development and Violence Prevention Program. This program provides world-class basketball training in a safe space for youth ages 11-18 at Riverside Church every Saturday.

Ages 11 - 13 meet weekly from 5p - 7p

Ages 14 - 18 meet weekly from 7pm - 9pm
