Basketball - Winter 2025

Registration opens on September 1st for residents and on September 8th for non-residents. Register early to secure your spot and avoid the waitlist—spaces are not guaranteed!

Registration Period:

  • Residents Only: September 1-7, 2025
  • Non-Resident Registration Begins (if spaces are available): September 8, 2025

Fees: Residents: $60 | Non-Residents: $100 

  • Participants must reside within Wake Forest town limits to qualify as a resident. When an age group has reached capacity, a wait list will begin.

Age Determination:

  • Boys: 5-17 | Girls 5-13
  • Participants' league age is based on their age as of December 31, 2025.

Proof of Age Required:

  • All new participants must provide a birth certificate at registration.

Team Placement:

  • Siblings within the same age group will be placed on the same team.
  • Specific team or coach requests are not considered.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is provided (uniforms) for players?: All players will receive a reversible jersey.
  • When do practices start?: Team evaluations/placement events begin October 11th and continue through October 23rd. Practices begin will begin as early as October 25th for some teams.
  • How many practices/games per week?: Typical schedule has 2 practices per week prior to games beginning, then games replace practices.
  • What are the practice/game days?: Practice/game days will vary, based on the age group and gym availability. Schedules will not be set until registration has concluded.
  • Can we request to "play up?": No. League assignments are made based solely on league age.
  • Are team placement requests allowed?: No. Siblings in the same age group/league will be placed together, but requests for placement with a particular player (or coach) are not allowed.
  • What if we can't be at the league draft?: Players that are unable to attend team placement events ("drafts") will be placed onto teams via random draw.
  • How do I volunteer to coach?: ENROLL the parent volunteer into the program that they would like to volunteer in (prior to "checkout").
