Fall Baseball, Softball, & T-Ball - Fall 2023

Youth baseball, softball and t-ball leagues for boys ages 4-16 and girls ages 4-15.  A participant's league age is determined by their age on April 30, 2023.  Limited spaces are available in each age group.  When an age groups has reached capacity, a wait list will begin. NOTE:  No exceptions are made related to league/age assignments.

REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2023 IS FOR WAIT LIST ONLY AT THIS POINT (no guarantee of team placement);  Spring 2024 league registration will begin February 1, 2024.

Please note that participants new to the program must provide proof of age (birth certificate) at registration.

PARTICIPANT FEE:  $60 (residents), $100 (non-residents).  Resident status determination: participant must reside within the Town limits.

Siblings that are participating within the same age group will be placed onto teams together - no requests for placement onto a team with a specific player (or coach) will be considered.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Are uniforms provided?: All players will receive team jersey, hat/visor, and socks. Additionally, BASEBALL players are asked to provide solid grey pants, SOFTBALL players: solid grey pants (or solid black shorts)
  • What equipment is required?: Players are to provide their own batting helmet, bat, and glove.
  • Are cleats required?: No, but if players choose to wear cleats, ages 11 and under must use rubber/molded cleats. Players age 12 and above may use either rubber/molded cleats or metal spikes.
  • Any equipment restrictions/requirements?: All softball batters' helmets MUST have an attached facemask.
  • What are the baseball bat rules?: 12 and under- bats must meet the USABat standards. 13 and above - bats must meet current NCHSAA requirements (BBCOR).
  • When do practices start?: Team placement events begin the week of August 7. Practices begin within one week of the team placement event.
  • What if we can't be at the league draft?: Players that are unable to attend team placement events ("drafts") will be placed onto teams via random draw.
  • How many practices/games per week?: Typical schedule has 2 practices/week prior to games beginning, then games replace practices.
  • What are the practice/game days?: Practice/game days will vary, based on the age group and field availability. Schedules aren't set until registration is concluded.
  • Can we request to "play up?": No. League assignments are made based solely on league age.
  • Are team placement requests allowed?: No. Siblings in the same age group/league will be placed together, but requests for placement with a particular player (or coach) are not allowed.
  • How do I volunteer to coach?: ENROLL the parent volunteer into the program that they would like to volunteer in (prior to "checkout").
