Youth Volleyball League (Girls) - Spring 2025

We’re excited to announce our Youth Volleyball League, hosted in collaboration with Cap City Volleyball.

Eligibility and League Age

  • League Age: Determined by age on September 1, 2025
  • Age Verification: New participants must provide a birth certificate
  • Limited Spots: Each age group has limited availability. Once full, waitlists will open.

Fees

  • Wake Forest Residents: $60 (Registration opens April 1)
  • Non-Residents: $100 (Registration opens April 8)
  • Residency: Determined by your home address within Town limits

Team Placement

  • Siblings in the same age group will be placed on the same team.
  • No specific requests for teammates or coaches can be accommodated.

Practice & Game Schedule

  • Days & Age Groups:
    • 10U & 12U: Monday/Wednesday
    • 14U & 16U: Tuesday/Thursday
  • Practice & Game Times: 6:15 PM, 7:15 PM, or 8:15 PM

Evaluations

  • Dates: May 12–15
  • Details: Times/Days - TBA
    • Participation Required: All coaches & players, including coaches' children, must attend evaluations.

Season Details

  • Games: 10 games + a postseason tournament
  • Championship: Held on the 3rd or 4th Saturday in July

Equipment Needs

  • Required: Knee pads
  • Optional: Arm sleeves (helpful but not required)

Coach Requirements:

  • Complete a Background Screening and NAYS Training before practices and games.
  • Each team can have up to 2 coaches—no volleyball experience needed! Bring a positive attitude and leadership skills to support your team.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is provided (uniforms) for players?: Players will be provided with a team jersey.
  • What equipment is required?: Knee pads and athletic shoes. Arm sleeves are not required but recommended.
  • When do practices start?: Player evaluations will begin mid-May. Team practices will begin late-May/early June.
  • What are the practice/game days?: Days & Age Groups: 10U & 12U: Monday/Wednesday 14U & 16U: Tuesday/Thursday Practice & Game Times: 6:15 PM, 7:15 PM, or 8:15 PM
  • Can we request to "play up or down"?: No. League assignments are based solely on league age.
  • Are team placement requests allowed?: No. Siblings in the same age group/league will be placed together, but requests for placement with a particular player (or coach) are not allowed.
  • What if we can't be at the player evals?: Players who are unable to attend evaluations will be placed on teams randomly. All players, including coaches' children, must participate in the evaluation process to ensure fair team placement.
  • How do I Volunteer Coach?: ENROLL the parent volunteer into the program that they would like to volunteer in (prior to "checkout").
