Ward County Sports and Recreation Statement

Ward County Sports and Recreation Department offers a variety of sporting events and recreation activities.  The Sports and Rec. Dept. offers a safe environment where all participants can learn, be successful, enjoy their passions, and have fun!

Some of the sports and activities include; Football, Volleyball, Softball, Baseball, Cheer, Girls and Boys T-ball, Co-ed Soccer, and many more. Ward County Sports and Recreation will focus on Child Centered Policies and Procedures set in place by the National Standards for Youth Sports, along with the Director and Board of Ward County Sports and Recreation Department. 

The Ward County Sports and Recreation Department was developed to promote the residents of Ward County. The sports and recreation department is operated by a Director and a Board, all of whom are appointed and approved by the Commissioners Court of Ward County.

During this time, many policies and procedures will follow National, State, and Local guidelines including the Minimum Standard Health Protocols for Youth Sports Operators set by the Governors Strike Force to Open Texas.  As well as the considerations for youth sports set by the CDC.
