FAQ

Court Ranking: Court ranking will be based on each player's cumulative points scored (this is the team score from each game) versus total points possible—referred to as Percentage of Points or “POP.” Rankings are averaged across all previously played games/weeks. The final rankings will be published after week 5, with the #1 and #2 players in each division crowned the season co-champions. To rank #1 or #2, you must have been present for a minimum of 5 out of 7 weeks, including the final week of the season. Don't worry—just track your team score each game on the provided scoresheet and we'll take care of the rest.

Examples of how weekly rankings work:

Select the top four ranked players and assign them to court #1(eastern most court).
Select the next four players and assign them to court #2 (then continue to courts 3 and 4).
Missing Players and Subs:

If a court doesn't have 4 players:
A sub invited by the missing player may be used (their score will not count in the standings).
A player registered in another division may sub (e.g., a 6:15pm player can sub at 7:15pm and vice versa—score does not count).
If there is an odd number of total players and no sub is available, each court—starting at court 1—will add a 5th player until all players are designated. (Example: for 15 players, courts 1–3 will each have 5 players.)
Game Format and Scoring:

4 Players: Each player plays a round-robin for a total of 3 games. Each game goes to 15 points, no two-point difference required.
5 Players: Each player plays a round-robin for a total of 4 games. Each game goes to 15 points, no two-point difference required. One player will sit out each game as a “bye.”
At the 15-minute mark of any game, rally scoring will begin (points can be scored by both serving and returning teams).

5 Player Rotations - Games to 11, Win by 1 point

  1. 1-2 vs 3-4, 5 bye
  2. 2-4 vs 3-5, 1 bye
  3. 1-5 vs 2-3, 4 bye
  4. 1-3 vs 4-5, 2 bye
  5. 1-4 vs 2-5, 3 bye

Open Courts:

Players are free to practice/play on any open courts, if available.

Rules: Standard USA Pickleball rules apply, but staff reserve the right to modify them when needed.
