The Redwood City After School Sports Program is a school-based sports program that is provided by the Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department (PRCS), in collaboration with the South County Sheriff’s Activities League (SC-SAL), the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP),  the Redwood City School District (RCSD), and suppported by the Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL). Our programs encourage good sportsmanship, teamwork, positive attitudes, and mutual respect to build a strong community within Redwood City. In addition, we promote life-skills development by providing a safe place for youth to engage in physical activity, which aids in developing theirtalents and self-esteem.

Each school within RCSD has a specific Program Provider. These Program Providers (PRCS, SC-SAL, BGCP, & SAL) are responsible for registering participants, securing coaches, providing uniforms and equipment, and assisting with the scheduling of practices. Please see the Program Provider breakdown below for more information regarding After School Sports at your school.
