FLAG FOOTBALL SPRING 2024 PROGRAM

Sunday, April 14 - Sunday, June 9, 2024

Location: Alder Creek Middle School on the turf.

Mandatory Volunteer Coaches Training Clinic: Sunday, 4/7, from 12-2 at Alder Creek Middle School on the turf.

Early Registration: Tuesday, 2/6 - Sunday, 3/3

Regular Registration: Monday, 3/4 - Sunday, 3/31

NCPRD's Flag Football program is a league for boys' and girls' grades K-6th. The first two Sunday's will be practices only. Each Sunday thereafter will include a practice followed by a game. During this practice time, participants will learn and develop fundamental skills in a non-tackle approach to football with the emphasis on participation, fun and good sportsmanship. The practice/game format will give participants the opportunity to immediately implement skills into a game setting.

The program will be following the USA Football guidelines, which have a strong emphasis on learning fundamental techniques to ensure player safety and improved coaching. NCPRD's Flag Football program uses a progressive approach to skill development and teaching flag football concepts and strategies. Younger levels will be introduced to basic, fundamental principles and skills. As your child progresses and grows through the program, they will gradually be introduced to more detailed instruction. At the end of each season, every player, regardless of level, should understand the basic skills of throwing, catching and flag pulling.

Format: 5 on 5 (Grades K, 1-2 and 3-4); 6 on 6 (Grades 5-6).

Division start times depend on the number of teams created in each division and will be solidified once registration closes. All schedules, once created, will be posted under the schedules tab on our website. Start times will range from 11 AM - 5:00 PM.

Team t-shirt is included with all registrations.

Pick the team and coach that works best for your flag football player OR register to coach and bring your own team. Maximum team size is 10. Coaches, if your child will be playing on your team, you must register them at the same time you register to coach to ensure your child gets a spot on your team.

Registration is on a first registered basis and roster spots on teams will not be held. Some teams will fill quickly so please register early to secure your roster spot.

*Please note that playing up a grade level is not allowed in any of our sports programs.
