Program Information

Practice location: Campbell Elementary  

Spring Dance and Cheer Stars is a Coed Recreational dance and cheer program for youth in kindergarten through 5th grade and individuals with disabilities or additional needs ages 8 - 25 (A&I team). The program strives to teach the basic fundamentals of dance and cheer including arm motions, basic jumps, and dance routines while promoting fitness, team building, friendships and fun!

All age divisions begin the season with practices starting the week of 4/14/25. All teams practice one night each week and perform at two special performances, Tuesday, 5/6 (tentative) and Sunday, 6/8, at the Flag Football end of season jamboree. Memorial Day: All Monday, 5/26, practices will be moved to Tuesday, 5/27. All teams will share the gym and practice on Tuesday, 5/27.

Program Dates: Sunday, April 6 - June 8, 2025 @ Alder Creek Middle School (ACMS) on the Turf.

BYE on Sundays, 4/20 (Easter) and 5/25 (Memorial Day weekend) for all teams.

MANDATORY VOLUNTEER COACH TRAINING CLINIC: Sunday, 3/30. Location: TBD

Flag Football is a grades 1st-6th Coed youth league. Participants practice fundamental skills and techniques and run plays in a non-tackle approach to football with an emphasis on participation, fun and good sportsmanship.

NCPRD’s Flag Football program will use a progression approach for skill development and teaching of flag football concepts and strategies. Younger levels will be introduced to basic, fundamental principles and skills. As your child progresses and grows through the program, they will gradually be introduced to more detailed instruction. At the end of each season, every player, regardless of level, should understand the basic skills of throwing, catching and flag pulling.
