Fireworks Booth Lottery

Thank you for your interest in participating in the City of Escalon’s annual Fireworks Booth Lottery. Please review the following instructions carefully before submitting your application and payment through this portal.

The City used to collect a refundable application fee for those wishing to participate in the lottery. This year, to make the process smoother and more user friendly, we are going to defer the application fee until after the lottery.

The City will issue four (4) fireworks stand licenses to eligible non-profit organizations through a public lottery.

Lottery Date: April 2, 2026

Time: 10:00 AM

Location: Council Chambers, City Hall, 2060 McHenry Ave, Escalon, CA 95320 Attendance is welcome but not required.

**After the lottery
If selected in the Lottery, Organizations drawn in the lottery must complete the following steps before a license is issued:

Pay the $137 Application fee, the $150 license fee, and the $250 refundable compliance deposit.

Provide a $2,000,000 general liability insurance certificate naming the City of Escalon and Escalon Fire District as additional insured

Submit a State Fire Marshal retail fireworks license

Submit a temporary sales tax permit

Submit a City of Escalon Business License Application

Provide written permission from the property owner

Provide a site plan diagram

Pass inspections by the Fire District and City Building Inspector
