Ladies Snowshoe - Winter 2026

Ladies only snowshoe afternoon with EmpowHer Outdoors. Choose your own adventure with beginner and intermediate level classes. Warm beverages provided at the end! Snowshoes and poles are available if needed.

Dates: January 24 (BEGINNER) or March 7 (INTERMEDIATE)

Times: 2-4:30pm

Where: Beginner- Activity Barn

Intermediate- TBD

Cost: McCall city residents: $25

Outside McCall city residents: $35

Need to Know: Dress in layers (so you can take off layers as you warm up)- make sure to include a hat, gloves/mittens, snow boots, warm socks, sunglasses and small bag to carry your water and personal belongings. Beginner level expect 2.2 miles on mostly flat surfaces; intermediate level will climb approx. 800' in elevation.

  • What is beginner snowshoe about?: Expect 2 miles of snowshoing on designated snowshoe trails. Due to low snow, the beginner class will be at Bear Basin snow shoe trails. There will be a bus to transport y'all to and from Bear Basin. Kristine, our awesome instructor, will go over equipment, layering, gauge abilities and provide skills based instructions along the way. Warm beverages will be provided at the end of the trip.
  • What is intermediate snowshoe about?: Due to low snow this year, we are (1) hoping for more snow and (2) will re-evaluate the intermediate trail. TBD, but expect more elevation change over trails and roads. Kristina, our awesome instructor, will go over equipment, layering, gauge abilities and provide skills based instructions along the way. Warm beverages will be provided at the end of the trip.
  • What do I need to bring?: Come prepared with the following items? - snowshoes (or request to use our equipment) - poles (or request to use our equipment) -small backpack -water bottle -small snack -hats, gloves/mittens -water proof layers -insullation layers -water proof boots -sunglasses and sun screen if sunny
