Modified Kid Pitch Co-Ed baseball (ages 8-10) - Spring 2026

Join McCall Parks and Recreation for a fun 6-weeks of baseball practices and games! Please check program dates and make sure players and their fan club can make 85% of season practices & games- we need player and family committment!

Modified Kid Pitch Co-Ed Baseball relies on kids learning to pitch live balls to batters. After 3-incomplete attempts move players to base or strike out, a coach will step in to pitch the rest of the inning. Games are 75-minutes long and will be played in McCall and regional teams in New Meadows and Cascade. All practices and games will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, NO weekend or Friday games.

  • Volunteer Coaches: 2 coaches per team Team equipment bags will be labeled and stored in the concession stand. Each bag will come with helmets, bats and softer baseballs. We need people to committ to the whole season if possible and thank you for your time! We make it easy for you: show up to practices and games, we supply everything.
  • Parents Helpers: If you cannot commit to helping to coach a team, please consider helping as a parent helper on the field. These players are still learning the game (and ALLLLL the rules) and coaches need all the help they can get. THANK YOU KINDLY
  • What does my child need to play?: Each player will need a baseball glove. Players will recieve a team shirt and hat. Please label gear and items with their name, so we can return it if left behind. It is up to the family if they want cleats and pants; however, they are not needed to play.
  • When do games start?: Games will begin the week of May 18; game schedules will be by the first day of practices. NOTE: if your child is not scheduled for a game, they still have practices on their scheduled days! We strive to schedule 1 practice and 1 game per week.
  • Why different program fees?: McCall residents help support Parks and Recreation programs through the city taxes they pay. These funds directly contribute to the programs and services our department offers. Participants who live outside city limits do not pay these same city taxes, so non-resident program fees are slightly higher to help balance the cost of providing programs for everyone.
