Registration Fees pay for items such as: Jerseys, game balls, USA Softball insurance, umpire fees, field rental feel, field maintenance, utilities, picture packages (spring season only), end-of-season tournament rings, awards, snack bar offerings, etc.
One of the largest expenses that the league incurs is for USA Softball registered umpires. The fee for one umpire has increased substantially over the years.
As stated before, registration fees cover the costs of equipment (obtaining and maintenance), field upkeep, and the lights for both Red Hill Park and Los Osos (when we are using it). As those prices may change, we have to adjust our registration fees accordingly.
We don't use USA Softball Umpires for our T-Ball Division, so the T-Ball Division doesn't incur this expense.
In order to obtain field allocations from the City of Rancho Cucamonga and to order uniforms in time for season play, we are required to submit our requests in as early as possible. This allows Rancho Cucamonga ACE Softball to properly allocate game and practice fields, plan for uniform purchases and determine the number of managers required to ensure we have a successful season.
There is typically an announced date for closing registration which will appear on the main page of our website.
However, we may close registration early as divisions get to capacity due to certain limitations (amount of managers, field availability).
No. In order to maintain competitive balance, we do not allow for players to register once teams are drafted.
