2024 Ascension Soccer PreK Clinics - Fall 2024

The Ascension PreK soccer program is a clinic run by JB Marine SC. 

To be eligible for this program, participants must be age 4 by July 31st of the current year and be affiliated with Ascension Parish.

Program Overview

• Limited to 60 participants
• 8 Week Program
• Practices/games with skills and 3v3 games
• Wednesday nights from 6-7 PM,
• Clinics use a size #3 soccer ball
• Includes t-shirt

Program Goals

• Provide a fun, quality soccer experience for all Ascension youth who participate
• Develop the Ascension players to the best of their ability
• Promote excellence in sportsmanship and conduct in all players, coaches, referees and parents
• Provide a participant to trainer (coach) ratio of ~ 6:1

2024 CPOP Soccer Preschool-K Little Gators - Fall 2024

The CPOP Little Gators Program is for children ages 3-5 (in PreK and K). The program is developmental in nature and will be in-house at CPOP and not involve competitive games against other parishes the way our CYC (1st-8th grade) teams play. Sessions will be from 9:00-10:00am on Saturday mornings in the Fall and held at the CPOP fields. More information, along with a specific schedule of session dates, will be sent out as the program nears its start. 

Volunteers/Coaches are critical to the success of the program (no coaching experience necessary - a set curriculum is used and provided), so please sign up during registration if interested to help.

Little Stallions Soccer

This program is a practice every Wed night from 6-7pm and games Saturday morning from 9-10am all held at our parish fields.  Its designed to introduce your child to soccer and good sportsmanship.   

The practices are learning a skill, then a easy fun game to practice that skill.  We build on the skills as the weeks go on.  The games are Saturday morning and its 5v5 with no goalies shooting on small goals.  They are a fun low stress way to start your weekend off right.

We usually have 60-70 kids so please invite your classmates and friends and let us know who you want to be grouped with in the sign ups (we will do our best to make that happen).  We will use a size #3 soccer ball if you want to get a head start.  Your child has to be 4 by Aug 1st.

2024 St Patrick Soccer CYC PreK-8th - Fall 2024

Eligible registrants include families OFFICIALLY registered within the parish, students currently enrolled in the parish full time school or the PSR program, and those who who do not meet any of the above criteria, but live within the parish boundaries of St. Patrick, St. Gianna, or IHM New Melle who do not offer sports programs.  Please visit https://www.archstl.org/find-my-parish and ensure that you live within the these parish boundaries.  If you do not meet any of these criteria, DO NOT proceed with registration, EVEN if you may have played for us in the past.

Registration fees are $90 for families registered at St. Patrick or attending the parish full time school or PSR, and $115 for everyone else. All non parishioners must select the non parishioner fee, if not selected you will still be subject to the additional $25 fee. There is a $10 discount for each additional sibling.

WE WILL BE USING THE SAME JERSEYS AS LAST YEAR. IF YOUR CHILD WILL NEED A JERSEY FOR THE FALL 2024 SEASON THEN YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A JERSEY (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO PRE-K PLAYERS - WE WILL PROVIDE T-SHIRTS FOR THEM SO DO NOT PURCHASE A UNIFORM).  YOU WILL PAY FOR THE UNIFORM WITH REGISTRATION, PLEASE INCLUDE SIZE AND NUMBER REQUESTS AT THAT TIME.  IF YOU HAD A JERSEY NUMBER LAST YEAR THEN PLEASE USE THE SAME NUMBER.  IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME ORDERING A JERSEY THEN WE WILL ISSUE A NUMBER BASED ON WHATS AVAILABLE (PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR FIRST 3 CHOICES WHEN REGISTERING).

SJC Cheer Program Information

$175 Registration fee covers:
• Uniform shell & skirt + poms (rental), midriff sleeves, briefs, and bow
• Spirit T-shirt (used for special performances, spirit wear, cheer clinics, etc)
• Cheer season is August -March
• Basketball season runs Jan-March with clinics and practices beginning Mid-August.
• Practices for Cardinals and Spirit Day will run April - May

SJC Cross Country 2024 - Fall 2024

St. Joseph Cottleville Intramural Cross Country

This is a great program for kids who want: 

• fitness conditioning during their fall seasons and do so with friends.
• want to pick up something new
• to be exposed to what XC is as they may be transitioning to other sports...many XC runners are multi-sport athletes
• to use it as an off-season way to stay in shape and to be social

Cross country differs from track and field as its an endurance running sport on grass. At this level, kids will only be running an easy 1 mile loop at the Knights of Columbus Cottleville fields.  Tennis shoes/sneakers are fine for the younger kids if its dry but spikes or even soccer cleats may be a good idea if its wetter out.  

The registration includes a jersey and 5 Saturday morning meets starting September 7th through October 5th.

Meets are fun and lively as you can watch from anywhere along the course...bring a boom box or a cow bell and cheer on your runner.  

Parents will be asked to help volunteer with simple tasks during the meets (course guidance, timing, etc)

An optional afterschool practice at St. Joseph School Cottleville is TBD.

Please register by 7/31 to ensure your runner will have their jersey on time!
