Search for the specific sport or officials coordinator at the parish that you will want to work games. You will need to give the assignor your contact information. They will assign you at the field or gym that they oversee and will pay you.
All Minors (7th-12th grade): Complete the Code of Ethical Conduct for Minors Working with Younger Children and submit to your parish safety coordinator. (one time requirement)
CODE OF ETHICAL CONDUCT FOR MINORS
All Adults (18+ & out of HS): Complete the Safe Environment requirements set forth by the Office of Child and Youth Protection. (Protecting God's Children and Prevent and Protect) This is a one time requirement.

PREVENT & PROTECT
All officials must register each school year (Jul 1 to Jun 30).
Scorekeepers for Volleyball and Basketball do not need to register.
There is a $7 fee to complete this registration per year.
All officials have 2 chances to pass the sport specific online test with an 80% or above.
This test is taken each year by all officials.
Scorekeepers/Timers do not need to take the test.
Each sport test will be available several months before the season starts.

Clinics are approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours long. You will be taught by experienced officials about rules, communication techniques and game management,
Minor Officials (7th-11th grade) Must attend an annual sport specific clinic. (Seniors do not need to attend if they have been officiating for 3 years or more) Scorekeepers/Timers do not have to attend a clinic.
Adult Officials (12th grade, College or 18+) All adult officials (including MSHSAA certified) must attend an annual sport specific clinic in each of his/her first two years of officiating in the CYC. If an adult official has not officiated in the last two years, they must attend a clinic.
All officials and scorekeepers/timers must submit a W-9 form to each parish athletic association that will be paying you for officiating or scorekeeping.
