This elegant three-story house, located at 1501 East Lakeshore was built in 1917 by the Rutledge family and is nestled against a pine covered hillside to the north and the shores of beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene and Sanders Beach to the south. The two acres of grounds are beautifully landscaped with shrubs, a grape arbor, and shade trees of many varieties.

We are currently searching for a new caretaker(s) for the Jewett House. This position does not include a salary. Compensation consists of free rent and all utilities. Information is available at this link.

The Potlatch Corporation gave this beautiful residence to the City of Coeur d'Alene in 1978 for the enjoyment of its 
senior citizens and is available for scheduled group activities
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 
 This is a wonderful venue to hold special events such as weddings and receptions, anniversary parties, and church and business retreats.
