City of Coeur d' Alene Parks and Recreation is ecstatic to start a new partnership with NIC Outdoor Pursuits!
Outdoor Pursuits offers wilderness-based, environmentally sound outdoor adventures, activities, and lessons that foster educational growth through self-awareness, teamwork, and guided risk taking.
Kayaking, Sailing, and Standup Paddleboarding clinics will meet at the NIC Beach. From the NIC Lee-Kildow Hall parking lot, cross the dike road (Rosenberry Drive) and take the stairs to the beach. All other classes will meet in the Outdoor Center located on the south side of McLain Hall.
Beginners Welcome! All Outdoor Pursuits clinics are open to absolute beginners and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
SPECIAL INFORMATION NOTICE FOR ALL (SUMMER):
Be prepared for Idaho’s weather. Bring snacks and water, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, raincoat, and bathing suit–whatever you need for comfort. All equipment used in class activities is provided unless otherwise stated.
All registrants under 18 must have waiver signed by parent or guardian.
**All Outdoor Pursuits clinics are weather dependent. While our instructors will do their best to reschedule sessions that are cancelled due to poor weather, we cannot guarantee that all sessions offered will be completed.
If your schedule does not match our offerings, Outdoor Pursuits can often schedule a private lesson in sailing, kayaking, rock climbing, or other outdoor adventures. Please contact us to talk over the needs of your group if you are interested. For more, view all of our program offerings with our various partners here: Outdoor Pursuits - North Idaho College
