2024 PICKLEBALL LESSONS

Location: Cherry Hill Park, 1718 N. 15th St, Coeur d’Alene
Fee: $30 resident $40 non-resident
Register in person at CDA Recreation or online at teamsideline.com/cdaid
All of the following class options will be offered at each time slot. Participants may register for one class/one time slot per session.
Session Dates and times:
April 15-May 1st- 10a.m-noon and noon-2p.m
May 6-21st- 10a.m-noon and noon-2p.m
Beginner Level (For those who have never played)
Level 2.0 to 2.5 (Players who have just started)
Level 2.5 to 3.0 (Players who know basic rules and are developing dinking and drop shot skills)
Level 3.0 to 3.5 (Players attempting to consistently dink and executing drop shots from transition area)
Bring your paddle*, water bottle, court shoes and have fun!
INWPC provides lesson plans, balls, nets, and coaching.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and warm up.
*Paddles are available upon request during lessons if you don’t have one.
Skill level definitions: IPTPA Rating Skills Assessment – IPTPA Pickle Ball Association
Rating level 1.0 to 2.0 (Beginner)
This player has never played pickleball and has no other sports background.
May have a minimal understanding of the rules.
Rating level 2.0 to 2.5
This player has limited experience. Can sustain a short rally with players of equal ability. Basic ability to keep score and has a basic knowledge of the rules and how to keep score.
Rating level 2.5 to 3.0
This player has gained the ability to consistently hit a shot with forehand and backhand, serve and return balls, and is starting to control their dinking and getting a 3rd shot drop over the net. They are able to volley shots with increasing control and is knowledgeable of the fundamental strategy of play.
Rating level 3.0 to 3.5
This player is consistently controlling the depth and pace of their forehand and backhand shots as well as their serve and return of serve shots. They are increasing consistency and use of dinking and their 3rd shot drops. Controlling medium paced volleys. They are advancing to the non-volley zone quickly and using proper court positioning.
