About EGSC Our club prides itself on developing players through an age appropriate curriculum delivered by a professional coaching staff. We provide our players with opportunities and knowledge of the game and continually push them to fulfill their potential. EGSC is committed to challenging and nurturing our players to achieve their soccer goals. We believe in creating a competitive, engaging and most importantly an enjoyable learning environment to develop our players both on and off the field. EGSC has a 2 tier soccer program, Recreational and Travel. Our rec program is designed to be an introductory level of soccer from pre-K to 8th Grade, while learning the basics and fundamentals of the game. Correct passing, shooting, dribbling and defending techniques. Our aim is to have kids make the transition from our rec program to our travel program once they’re at U8 level and beyond. Our specifically designed curriculum for these younger ages is catered around ball mastery skills, 1v1 scenarios and small sided scrimmages, along with team buildings exercises in a fun setting. There is heavy focus on getting players comfortable dribbling the ball with all surfaces of their feet, changing direction correctly and trapping the ball . All participants in the rec program will have the opportunity to receive professional coaching.

The Elk Grove Soccer Club is one of several volunteer-led Youth Sports Leagues within the Elk Grove Park District. The soccer club has a member-elected Board of Directors, which operates according to the club’s Constitution/By-Laws. The soccer club manages the overall recreational league including, but not limited to team formation, schedules, and standings. Meanwhile, for the club program, the soccer club manages Girls and Boys teams, which then play in various US Soccer Federation such as YSSL and IWSL sanctioned leagues and/or tournaments.
